Fully agree with the OP; if we can match them in the front row, we'll win.
Yes, Briers is in good form, but no half back can play off the back of a beaten pack, so winning in the forwards keeps Briers quiet anyway.
I'm also confident our back row can beat theirs, as it happens, I think we have the best back row in the league but that discussion is for another time. Our outside backs and bench also look better than Wire's.
As has been said, the big battle's going to be Fielden vs Morley and Coley vs Carvell.

Really looking forward to the game, Crusaders & Rovers pack are very weak compared to the wires. Rovers managed to punch a couple of holes in us when Vella & Fisher came on. So we will have to be extra pumped up for it with Gareth (the Elbow) Carvell and Adrian (Headhunter) Morley playing saturday. But saying that the key for Wire is Briers and Monaghan if we can stop them two then if doesn't matter who they have in their pack. Saying that the whole 17 need to be on top of their game.
