I thought Marian Pahas was a certainty for that award

he may not but considering he had the greatest season last year its a bit unfair to call h im over rated hes had trouble with injuries which has caused him trouble and yes heaps of pressure been put on him , and sheens tactic of give the ball to benji and do something. I just think that he has fully deserved his award this year

Injuries have possibly held him back a little. Has he lost abit of pace?

He doesn't seem to have that speed off the mark he had when he first burst onto the scene.

I'm not bashing him just for the sake of it. I just feel he's over-rated by alot of fans over here. We'll knock our own lads at the drop of a hat yet build up guys like Marshall into gods when in truth they aren't that much greater then some of the players we have to offer.

i dont think its him losing its his pace i think hes been moulded in to more of a play maker at wests due to a lack of a quality partner. i agree that people over here have held him a god probably due to them only believing in the marshall magic era which was back when he had scotty prince which obv made it a tad easier for him and allow his running game to flow

His game definitely seems to have changed from the early days.

If only he still had Pat Richards to make him look good like in the grand final of 2005
