Trust me mate try living there..not a nice place for a night out..but not been to wigan for a night out for a while..so I'm not comparing just stating that St Helens can be far from friendly...I have first hand experience!.

Obviously you go more often than I have (I've only been 3/4 times) but generally have found it to be a decent night.

Anywhere can be a rough night out, it all depends on whether the hooligans are out or not.

Doesn't surprise me with Jumping Jacks. It can be on par with Pada Bar and Wigan Pier for idiots that place at times.

Sad to hear that the victim is someone who at times posts on this board. He doesn't want to be named but has asked me to post some bigger versions of the original pictures to see if they can help at all.

Hope the scum are found and thrown away soon... Guy in question is back at home, and on the mend. Hope he recovers completely soon.
