Regards Mathers.
I don't think Warrington fans expected him to turn out like he has. He never lacked enthusiasm for Wigan and I only wished that that had rubbed off on a few of his colleagues. He certainly seems a different player in a Warrington shirt and I'm genuinely glad for him. Hopefully he can continue in this form and put some competition in for the GB fullback position. I only wish he'd played like that when he was with us. I'm not sure of the reasons why he seems better for Warrington. Coach, leass pressure, team style of play, I don't know but good luck to him.
Regards Gleeson.
We needed a right centre badly. He's the best British right centre. He's shown signs of good play for us but he's not done it often enough as yet. I think this is due to the lack of ball he gets and hopefully he'll see more of the ball now Hock's gone from the left side.
All in all a good deal for both clubs. Whether Gleeson was worth the money that changed hands I don't know and frankly I don't care, it wasn't my money
