Not sure about Wanes comments,almost like he's pleased he's injured.Saying Manfredi can do things Charmley can't, im yet to see these things and I'm not holding my breath.

Wane has come out with some very strange comments recently! Lets just hope both Burgess and Manfredi stay fit for the next couple of months.

I'd have thought that it is an obvious case of bigging the guy up to give him confidence.

Shame about Josh, he's had a mare of a season what with getting carried off at Widnes, having Carney's palm print embedded on his face at Cas, hardly getting a pass worthy of the name from Gell and now this.

Let's hope he comes back stronger and quicker on the firm grounds come the end of April. Good chance for Manfredi though.

If Burgess can get back to something like last season and Manfredi makes a good impression, I would be tempted to let Josh go out to Workington for a couple of games at centre to help with his fitness. He played a lot of junior rugby at centre and in his loan spell at HKR at the beginning of his career, which created a good impression with the fans.

Apparently he's trotting out the old Ellgren era nonsense in the trade press this morning too:

"This is my home town club and we're the most famous club in the World, whether they like it or not in St Helens"

Some nice obsessed playing to the audience there. Anyone would think he's trying to convince people that his "Wiggun" through and through act makes him the right coach for the club . . . . .

This can't be true; he'd never say that. WE are supposed to be obsessed with THEM remember!

Personally I love the guy, despite his failings, but I do find his so-called 'hatred' for Saints a bit cringeworthy.

Exactly my feelings too - nothing against Manfredi but Josh is special when he has a centre to give him some decent service. Gelling is a big strong unit, full of enthusiasm etc but wants to do everything himself and it's just not possible. Be a team player Anthony then we will all be happy

He says it tongue in cheek though. Think most Sts fans understand this and I know Ian Rush and KC do.
Back on topic. Think even with some poor form, josh being out is a blow for us but as you said earlier, it's a massive chance for Dom.
