Now i am just imagining them in those run down six fingered ran pubs in their town centre crying over ale. Soggy faced on the trains on the way back. They could have been 16-0 up in the first 15 mins and can have no complaints about decisions etc. We are just so much better. Be nice to spank them in the league again and then pick them at home if we finish top to put the cherry on top of the pile. I owe about 10 people at work stick for this, Good old Saints fans, You can always rely on them for a good laugh.

The funniest thing though is they think it is nothing to do with us having better players or a better coach it is just all down to the structure that Maguire left

You aint joking. Their board is littered with it. That and the fact that they had players coming back from injury and if they were all fit there isnt that much between us. They must be bonkers. If Richards was on the wing instead of Gelling he would have had a hat-trick to himself.


On another note. Charnley's kicking was top notch today. Two of those kicks he would usually spoon wide. Did well to keep focused.

Beating Saints is about on a par with having sex for me, I waited 18 years to see what it was like and my first time was a bit of an anti-climax but now I've experienced it a couple of times I'm gagging for more.

You youngies really missed something in the good ol' 80s and 90s.

Beating the Saints 27 nil at Wembley was a walk in the park in the 80s

If the win wasnt enough, seeing them kicking off with the stewards outside was pure entertainment.

The thing about that game was that it showed just how far ahead of Saints we were in so many ways. Wigan were in the midst of the Graham Lowe revolution, which would see the birthing of the modern game in the UK. Saints response to that was to appoint Alex Murphy (again) and sign the lumbering Stuart Evans.
