The good thing is I'd expect that to only increase over the coming years as well and as the Australian salary cap lifts we should be in a very strong position.

From a superleague point of view it's good that we're not the only club with those sorts of numbers either.

But things do look good. As for other teams, I think Leeds have 10-11 home grown players in their first team?

Its hard to work out why we're not producing centres of any real quality. Maybe it's just because we've had coaches loathed to try players in the position and show them patience when they make the odd error. It's not like we're the only club with that problem either as the game as a whole is struggling bar probably Leeds.

Looking at Leeds they've been prepared to give 2 youngsters a sustained run at centre and it's paying off. They bought Hardaker as a fullback/winger yet saw something in him and gave him a shot at centre.

I still say Josh Charnley should be at centre. He's a real talent and we need to get him more involved.

We signed him from Leeds academy so does it count?

Dunno. My understanding was that we'd signed him from our own Academy. Could easily be wrong.

And H is from Salford but the point that is being made is they've all come through Wigan's system.

Isn't Mossop i big hard Cumbrian just like myself
