| Why the f**k should England tremble?
It was only when I saw them all sitting together last night at the Aus v NZ game that I truly realised how much talent there isn't in the England coaching team.
God help us.

| I can't remember what words Eddie used to describe them, but it was very funny
Also what was Phil Clarke going on about Isaac Luke missing the tackle, which led to the 1st try, because the Haka took it out of him

think it was 'brains trust' without irony also, which is scary.
There has to be better coaches out there. Edwards anybody?

Raising the subject of Shaun Edwards actually points up the problem. People like him - and Mike Ford and Andy Farrell, guys who learned under the best - should all now be coaching in RL. But of course because they've got a teensy bit of ambition and because they're each a bit brighter than the buttons on their trousers, they're in the other code. Which leaves us with the unwanted debris - like McNamara, Powell and Lowes.
Never mind. At least we've got the Man of Steel playing for us.

Powell did a fair job at Leeds, and has done a brilliant job with Featherstone. Only his lack of an Aussie accent has stopped him getting a SL job.

Oh well, that's the main thing.
He is Curly to the other two's Larry and Moe.
The guy should be nowhere near the England coaching job. Still, if he's popular in Featherstone ...

The guy has done all that's been asked of him, making his team into by far the best in the league they are competing in. Both Powell and Millward have done good jobs over the last 2 years, Powell has done better, but guess which one gets the SL gig - that's right the one with the Aussie accent.
Whilst I agree with you fully about the other 2, don't fall into the trap of presuming that someone is a crap coach just because he has the wrong accent.

3 of us said the same thing, seeing those three sat together would have been funny if it wasn't so depressing. What's the point when your coaching team are simply NOT GOOD ENOUGH?

One thing's for sure, no-one at the RFL will give you an answer. As far as they're concerned, everything's hunky dory in the British RL garden.
