I agree with Rads

He's been a superbplayer (and captain) for Wigan for years. It's just a few narrow minded supporters who can't see it.

Every coach he has had at every level has picked him as captain (with exception of full international).

But some on here (can't or won't ) see it.

We only see what happens on the pitch, some people want to see him giving the players a good telling off behind the goals when the opposition score like Faz did. We as fans have no idea what he is like on the training fielde, in the dressing room, away from field as mates, IMO those are all things which make a good captain as well. One thing that can be said is he always leads by example.

It is more than likely that he is the first to training and the last to leave, good with other players in the dressing room and a top quality lad off the field

Doubt there is anybody that would want to lead us out of that dressing room at Wembley or Old Trafford more than Lockers

I saw him at Tesco the other day and he looked like a really nice guy with the way he was speaking to people.

It's also good that he is a Wigan lad, trent would of been a great captain, but no one knows how much it means to the fans as much as people like Lockers.

I think also a reason for people complaining about his captaincy has been in line with our results, had we performed on the pitch since he took over, no one would complain, but people need a player or coach to blame things on.

I think the problem is no matter how good he is as a captain he can’t do it all by himself.

Even the best captains can’t do it on their own just look at Saints who have Cunningham, Long, Cayless & Gidley or Leeds with Sinfield, Burrow, Senior, Webb & Peacock. One of the greatest leaders we’ve had in Faz had players like Rads, Furner, Lam, Cassidy, O’Connor, Newton, Dallas, Renouf etc with him on the pitch or on the training ground.

I’m sure if Lockers had three or four other players who could be the skipper in the team with him he’d be even better than he is now.

What is Rads on about he has clearly lost his mind, there is of course no such thing as leading by example!!





Rads comments just echo the sentiments of most sensible posters on here who do not hold him as a direct replacement for Faz, Hanley, Bell etc but judge him on his own merits and what he brings to the party both on and off the field.

Well he is hardly going to say "That Lockers is a sh*te captain" now is he?
