I was running an eye over the mechanics of getting to Ebbsfleet via public transport and putting aside the fact my local station is closed that weekend it turns out that my naive expectation that this was all doable on an oyster was wrong in fact being as how it’s not actually in London(?) it works out as pretty expensive especially if going to Ebbsfleet. Cost isn’t usually a massive issue for me but I do think adding an extra £20 to my travel bill on top of the hour an a half travel time there and back is taking it too far for a so called home game. I’m giving this one a swerve and obviously the Rovers game for wholly different reasons so that’s me not seeing Broncos for well over 2 months. That’s a pretty rum schedule if you ask me.This season ticket really hasn’t been my most sensible purchase.

Looking forward to Sunday. Because of health issues and university in Scotland my wife and son haven't seen Broncos for nearly a year. We were all season ticket holders pre covid so with Ebbsfleet being handy for us all looking forward to a positive performance

It is hard to know exactly what went on, but as the season unfolds, I'd hazard a guess that our Head of Commercial was given a marketing budget to attract fans to games and he gave 99% of it to The Standard and Metro 2 weeks before we KO'd and once that didn't work, he scarpered back to being a shop assistant and is now drunkenly surfing the net attacking his past employers and colleagues. As I say, I may be well off the mark.......but.

I live in Kent too. The only thing I saw about the game was on the Ebbsfleet FC website, I only saw it because I was looking up info about parking and / or the nearest stations.

Bongser drinks Shepherd Neame 1698 "Kentish Strong Ale" but has seen no match publicity on any of the many bottles already sunk today! He will keep looking.

In America I believe they put pictures of missing children on milk cartons. I suspect we could go the same route with a picture of our 1st team with “Have you seen these 13 young men. They went missing last Sunday afternoon around 40 minutes past 3pm. Last seen going into the changing rooms at half time at Widnes RL ground near the chemical works. If seen please direct them to a random place in Kent just off the Dartford Crossing. Don’t let the out of your sight as they are easily distracted.”

Now the club have announced the Featherstone game on 10-Jul will also be played at Ebsfleet. Thought the days of fitting around football ground works were behind us but seems not.

Very odd as AFC were tweeting last week that the pitch was like a carpet. Maybe they no longer want our grubby feet on it!

The Fev game at Ebbsfleet suits me, but it will alienate many, I am sure.
I see the club says it has given 500 free tickets to schools in the area. It will be interesting to see what sort of a crowd we draw.

This is good but I doubt will help grow crowds in Wimbledon towards Hughes 5,000 target.

Probably not, although it may help Medway Dragons & Invicta Panthers pull in a few more kids, which might be good for the game.
It will also make the attendance figures look better than they otherwise would.

All the more odd as at times it’s been clear our team have been wearing carpet slippers whilst playing. I assume they don’t fancy the bartering the goal mouth will receive as Rovers pile up an unpleasantly high score.

Not going to get on my high horse about this as I didn’t fancy this game at all but you know basically not playing at home all the way though the very short no football window is dumb and hardly builds momentum or interest and the best place for a team struggling for points to play is usually at home. Basically it’s crackers.....

It will certainly be easier for Fev fans (Sheffield too) who travel down by train. LNER to Kings X, walk over to St Pancras and in 20 mins you are at Ebbsfleet International.
