| OK it has been the 2 weeks now since the announcement from the board regarding the review (see OP). If as we would hope Hughes and Gus already had their finger on the pulse, then 2 weeks should be plenty of time to come up with initial findings and recommendations.
If they want to hang on to the few fans they have and want the review to be seen as a positive, then they need to keep the remaining fans engaged......if they say nothing and just allow the matter to drift, then fans will just see this as another opportunity lost; another nail in the club coffin and even more will walk away, probably never to return.
The announcement about Bailey (although any additional experience is welcome) is vague......we all understand recruitment, but player logistics?......we should not have to second guess what this means and make up our own interpretation.
The club need to come up with a time-line for this review and when the fans might reasonably expect some feedback. They need to recognise that we are down to the hardcore fans now and our stock as a club has never been so low.......they need to make this review a positive step, not another cock-up in the long line of cock-ups that there seem to have been this season.

| DH will announce that everything is OK on the pitch after the Widnes game if we win......or by facebook if we lose
Review of what? We were 3 weeks ago, crapola a week later and dire last week.......nothing has changed and only the most 1 eyed of us expects a win on Sunday at Hell Vue......back office staff gonski......
Anything under 3k and a convincing win on June 9th and it's time for the broom to sweep clean IMO........

| Quote What the hell are the staff measured by, I would have had a new ringpiece fitted by now, not to mention the spanish archer if my or my teams performances were tracking as bad as this clubs, and it's not just this season is it.

Totally agree. Never met Gus but it sounds like it's everyone else's fault. So he should take a good hard look in the mirror because he is no different to the coach, your only as good as the team you work with but you are responsible to motivate them. From all the issues that have not been resolved (kit sponosr etc), does he really think that we believe that this is because of his staff lack of effort? Anyone who has been in any managers role must be scratching their heads wondering how he still has a job. Would love to know what KPI's he get's judged by

Seems to be a constant problem at the club, coach McDermott always blamed everyone but himself at press conferences, of course he could never be at fault?

| Sorry but how is the crap team anything to do with Gus? Yes he's in charge of the backoffice/marketing etc but frankly, he has had nothing to build on this season so far (and I don't recall him blaming anyone for anything other than a reference to the fact that we need a winning team to build our attendances...how is that wrong?)
Re Brian Mc, don't recall him blaming anyone for anything. He simply doesn't like dealing with the media at all and it shows. He was always good at not blaming the refs unlike some of the Aussie coaches over here who bleat all the time about them.
One thing I remember about Brian Mc is that he said we had to change the whole losing culture of this club...he found that everybody expected to lose to the big teams and sort of accepted it. He wanted to change the attitude here and I don't think he or anyone else will change it. From Chad Randall's BBC interview it would seem that lack of belief is a major problem.

| The answer to that is nobody, Dave! Just saying the rugby side of things is not under Gus's control. He has stated that on the radio.

November 1st, 2011 - Official announcement that the Broncos are back.
February 4th 2012 - First competative game back as the London Broncos in London.
63 Working days (allowing for Xmas break and New Year)..........and this is the important bit.......4,924 fans to game 1 at Home.
I know it was cold, but 13,700+ the weekend before and 13,500 the weekend after, are what the Landlords got.........and 3 weeks after this loss to Saint Helens, where we were competative and after the expected hammering by wire and another close (8 point) loss to Hull FC, 3,000 LESS FANS ROLL UP FOR GAME #2.
Now I have never said attracting fans to the club was easy...I have always said it would involve a lot of very very hard work and commitment, but that is UNACCEPTABLE in my book.
1 x 1/4 page in the ES, coupled with adverts at the 4 nations the previous YEAR and 12 Black Cabs is not a campaign and shows a total lack of understanding YET AGAIN of what is on offer and how to market it.
I agree, 150% that a winning team would help, but the 2 games in February are evidence of the club YET AGAIN believing their own hype.........16 years of expecting people to just show up and the penny still hasn't dropped.
At the start of the season I went on record that I wouldn't post about the farce unfolding until after the Castleford Home game and I didn't, but how anyone can blame the first 3 games back at the stoop averaging less than the previous season on anyone other than the Marketing Team and those that employed them is a mystery.
Yes, RP and the Squad are no doubt to blame for the lack of fans since March, but Month 1 should have seen a bigger average than 3,092....
If you are Kind.....and say that David Hughes sprang ther name change on Gus on October 30th, then there have been 143 days that we have had to find a sponsor......we have a f()cking local dentist and a magazine that gives us less coverage than our official media partner.....the shirts, no matter what reason is given, should have been available for purchase the day of the rebarand announcement...along with bumper stickers sent to everyone on the RFL's (London) and the clubs databases...the press should have been invited to pre-season training camps, gower should have been rolled out at every walkabout in town along with the other NRL GF winners.........

| At last another club making sense- We should be ahead of them regarding development of home grown-Just need a coach to bring it all together
Hull KR chairman Neil Hudgell says the days of his club chasing big-name signings from Australia are over.
Although, Hudgell expects "a couple" of new additions from the NRL next season, he insists there will be no repeat of the Willie Mason saga.
The Robins last year paraded the former Australian Test forward as one of the biggest signings in their history but Mason played only six matches before the club cut their losses and released him.
"We aren't in the market for big names," Hudgell told the Hull Daily Mail. "We can't afford them, given how the market is.
"They don't necessarily bring you what you expect and don't always deliver value for money.
"We tried hard to retain Shannon McDonnell for next season but we couldn't get anywhere near the terms he was offered elsewhere.
"We also expressed our interest in St Helens centre Michael Shenton but the numbers involved again were beyond what we were prepared to pay.
"We are now at a point in the development of our club where we need to flip strategy and look to build more from the bottom upwards.
"I think our fans recognise and understand that and would look to support the principles behind it.
"At the end of the day we are a community club and to have a core of local players at the heart of that is ideally where we would like to be."
Hull KR are currently attempting to tie down Hull-born England Knights duo Scott Taylor and Josh Hodgson long-term despite both players having another year on their contracts beyond this season.

| I think you will find in statistics the amateur development of the game in the South and London is way ahead many famous rugby league areas of the North! there are some good players being developed & being signed by our club, then problem though is with the way they are then being brought on when they join the first team squad?
Yes it would be great if all clubs didn't any longer need players from outside of the UK, but is it ever going to be a reality, clubs do anything to prove they are not in the quota, we are doing as well as many clubs again in the North.
We just need to get our first team coaching right! the mentality needs to change, players are saying that is a problem, you need to have done it played at the top and had many years training as an assistant to be a first team coach and still many will not be good enough, we need to find the right person Now! and not just sit out the season and write it off, though I doubt we will.
By the way how many English coaches are there in Super League? wonder why Hull KR does not have one after all there many years of rugby league History! No for me Neil Hudgell like a few chairmen more likes rhetoric!

Are these young players you refer to the ones who played against the Catalans on Sunday or others in the pipeline? as many fans are not entirely convinced that most of those on the pitch on Sat have what it takes to become good SL standard players - let alone star players. Rob Thomas was touted as a future Prop for us and he has been shunted out to Skolars even though we have been in dire need of a good prop.

Both! I'm sorry if people think that both Sargenson & Dixon do not have some talent! I know it looks as if I am always talking about St Helens but their fans are complaining their youth are not really good enough and that their chairman has lead them on with a youth policy and weak international signings (that sounds familiar) and from Under 20's and Academy games I have seen we have some other talent coming through, not everyone in any team even if you have played the game since a youngster is going to be a Super Star players like Sam Tomkins are few and far between!
IF only we had the money to tempt Andy Farrell to join us on the coaching staff, now he has resigned from Saracens, but I presume he is lined up for an England RU job!

Thing is about St Helen's youths that I find funny then is that I've seen them come over here twice now and beat most of their NRL equivalents.
Aren't we meant to be shıt in England? Everyone tells us that. Remember the superior aussie coaches, conditioners, trainers, tactics, skills, players etc.

I think it would be very harsh to dismiss our young players before we've had the chance to see them work under a good coach - and hopefully it will happen in London rather than if they move up North!

| give the youngsters a chance under a new coach, new leadership and then see how they get on. And even if the majority of this generation dont prove themselves as SL worthy then let's not forget that this is the first one through - there'll be plenty more to come (with the usual caveat of the club still existing/being in SL!)
