I cringe at TR's public pronouncements most of the time. So I enjoyed this one:

I get that he wants to be positive. Good for him. But please, don't treat us like idiots. You're cobbling together a team of vastly inexperienced players at the last minute - you don't have any competition in this regard because they're isn't any. |

He was waiting for an all clear with regards to spending money on players for a while due to the uncertainty on our future etc. He missed out on a few rectuits as a result. Hence this unusually late time comment. |

Spot on. We may put a squad together that can win a few games, but that says more about the standard of the bottom end of SL than it does about us.
If 1 first-grader misses a week of pre-season in the NRL they see it as a major issue. The majority of our squad haven't even had a full pre-season. |

I would imagine the loanees and the imports from down under have and i suspect they will fill most of the 1st team spots as we have a lot of inexperienced youngsters who wil only get the odd game this season. |

Agreed T.C. Its not perfect for sure and we are up against it but if these guys roll there sleeves up and give it their best shot to show they can make a career of this we may win a few games and surprise people. There may be a couple of players to come who will put a smile on our faces still.

He can say he's optimistic for the season. He can say he's happy with who we've signed.
What I object to is someone insulting my intelligence by bragging about the strong barganing position we supposedly have now in the transfer market. It's cobblers, of the highest order. |
