You and your ilks acceptance that Jon Wells is even contracted to the club shows a complete lack of awareness that time is running out for Harlequins RL in Super League. Wells might be the most charming man ever to walk planet Earth but this has absolutely nothing to do with Harlequins RL fielding a team worthy of Super League and one that would attract an attendance accepable of Super League.

Rupey I will reinforce my stance on Jon Wells for a final time- He is not a SL standard winger- as I have said previously we are a struggling club-read the article in the paper today about Lennigans shares and how much we lost year ending 08. The facts are quite clear we can only play with the cards we are dealt due to our precarious financial situation- We probably paid big money for Marty, Hill, H Paul etc and have had to cut our cloth- business Rupey Business- we’ve had great players in the past but crowds have stayed constant- You go, other come in and the equilibrium remains

I would love to see Inglis, Slater…. But its not going to happen

Maybe Rupe1 could buy the club and run it as he thinks it should be, without big bucks this club is going nowhere fast, and stayaways like Rupe who criticise and do nothing are so much dead weight on those who wish RL to succeed in London and are doing something about it - i.e. putting their hands in their pockets. Criticism is cheap without any commitment to back it up.

If a consortium was to come in and guarantee that the mind numbingly dull coach McDermott was to go and that never again would players like Wells be given 2 year deals etc then I would put in 1000 quid tomorrow.

Being serious for a moment, how much dough is it gonna take to buy out Lenagan's shares? Not that I've any serious money mind, just curious.

I'm now rather perplexed about the testimonial match, which I believed was to be against Cas. Their pre-season fixtures were printed in RL Express yesterday, and they look to have virtually no free weekends in January in which this game could be played. Are we playing Cas? Are we playing anyone at all?
