You are right, I was certainly bothered, I certainly enjoyed the weekend more once I knew Quins had 2 points, then I was just enjoying the weekend after that.

Yes - to me Magic is preferable as I can watch my team, when Quins are in the final again I expect I will enjoy that more - make that a definite if we lift the cup.

Yeah to me its the highlight of the domestic calender, followed by the grand final and then the CC final - would prefer the GF more if it was on in the day but hey ho.

Hear! Hear! its worth 2 points, its a real game and we moved up the league because of the win. I have no problem with people not liking the idea, not going etc etc - but it does mean something and it cannot be dismissed as a meaningless game.

2 points make it important. If people dont want to go - which is not unreasonable bearing in mind cost, distance etc. then that is OK. For those that go its a great day/weekend out. Why spoil their fun.

meaningless games?! Do you never watch SL on Sky? I love watching live RL. And the standard of RL was very good too. Great atmosphere, good top level RL, supporting the game I love, meeting new people. Im really not sure what there is to criticise about it.

I like watching RL on Sky yes. 1 game, in the comfort of my own living room, probably relaxing with a beer. Not sitting in a half empty stadium, in the cold watching several matches, drinking expensive beer and rip off, horrible food, and having to get a bus if I want to reach civilization again.

Bah Humbug.

Now let's see. If we all decided next time we are on Sky at home to all sit at home rather than in a 25% full stadium, a 10 minute walk to public transport, expensive food and (not very good) ale - where would we be in a years time

Where's all this it's cold stuff come from. I came back with a suntan. 3.50 a pint? Pretty normal and much prefer freshly pulled pints than a can. Stadium food rules. And if people are too (stick your own reason here) not to go to what's the best event in RL then there's nowt you can do about the fan numbers but spreading out with your legs on the seats in front of you supping an ice cold beer with your arms stretched out in the sun, watching live RL doesn't float yet boat then what the he'll are you doing on a website called rlfans?

If you are happy to sit there drinking awful lager for £3.50, eating over-priced stadium food in a half empty stadium then thats up to you



I had a great time watching select matches on the TV and will be looking forward to watching live RL in the form of a home match

Cold - We managed to go a large part of both days in short sleeves, we even got sunburnt.

Food - Some of the best catering at a large venue, plenty of choice, it was hot fresh and edible, the burgers were pricey but everything else was on a par with events of a similar size.

Beer - Belhaven or Tenants, cold and fizzy, yes it was expensive but as a beer was only 50p cheaper in the pub over the road, not that much of a rip off. How much is the ale at The Stoop now? £3 a pint?

Middle of nowhere? Hardly, a 10 min walk in either direction took you to areas with several pubs, restaurants and takeaways.

See I tend to base things on my experiences not those of others.

So you don't like the idea, we get that. What I don't understand is your determination that others shouldn't have the chance of enjoying a weekend away. You are beginning to get like Mugwump, can survive 10 minutes without being in an arm chair or a Weatherspoons...
