| This amounted to a stunning second half revival by the London Broncos. They almost secured a draw. Under the wise leadership of Jamie Soward, many members of the team begn to tackle their opponents and utilise a wide passing game, which complemented the superb kicking of Soward. This resulted in several tries for London.
This all augurs well for the Challenge Cup match against Sheffield, and the semi-final which will likely follow.

| A game of two halves.
First half: [iCatalans 28 London 4[/i
Second half: [iCatalans 6 London 24[/i
Had the game gone on for 5 more minutes London may have snatched a draw, or even a one point win.

The pattern: Wakey, Salford, Les Cats: we start playing when they are 24+ ahead. Good teams would have drilled us into the ground. Though two of the Les Cats players should have been off for tackles on Dorn and Soward.

But the game didn't go on for 5 more minutes, and London didn't win. I thought everyone knew that it was the final score that counted, not some strange aggregate of the two halves. London lost. Again. No amount of fantasising changes that.

I watched Easts nil St George early this morning, a bit of the Lions game (George North weclome to the NRL) and then amateur RL with North Herts Crusaders beating St Ives Roosters 48-18 after being down 10-12 at half time. Off to Hemel v Rochdale tomorrow. The Broncos have much to learn.

You take a very [ia priori [/irationalist approach to the event. From a man named Euclid I would expect no less. Nevertheless, you need to immerse yourself in New Age philosophy, so as to expand your cognitive horizons.
Tony Rea has said that a London Broncos win is just around the corner. It is a win waiting to happen.
So like Tony when I am out for a walk I look around every corner, just in case, and then I look up to the sky and see a silver lining in every cloud.

| Was there. For the first 10 mins or so we had decent field position but never looked like scoring and kept making errors. Catalans then put their foot down and accelerated away. Couldn't help but think that in the second half they took their foot of the pedal and put the handbrake on, to let us have slight sniff.
Positives were that we didn't fall to pieces in a baking hot evening. However I have srious worries about the future with all the rumours of players leaving.

| Fully agree! it was not a win & constantly starting off so badly is not acceptable! But I do respect the way the team came back in the second half. Jamie Soward has made such a difference.
It's not good enough & Rea has to take the blame! Looking at him at times yesterday he would not motivate or encourage me. As a club we got carried away with the few wins we had at the end of last season under him and thought he would help us turn the corner??
Sheffield Eagles are organised and also a determined group of players, Mark Aston has done completely the opposite to what Rea does not seem capable of! What a fight we have on our hands! Perhaps Jamie Soward should be in charge of training at least he will motivate then.

Shades of Dorahy and Dean Bell at Wigan in the 90's! The club seems watertight in that there is very little in the way of rumours or genuine info about the state of things reaching the public....I.e. what the real malaise is, coaching? Management? Players? All three? Something else altogether?

| how did Rhodri Lloyd play (I see he was down to play on the BBC site) ?
this is a bit of an audition for him at centre, given the weakness we (Wigan) currently have there.
