| How about this:
A day, Saturday if possible, in mid summer.
From 11am, a kids mini tournament played on the Richmond college pitch.
12pm West London Sharks v London Storm
2.00pm London Skolars v Leigh
4.pm Final of Kids mini tournament
5pm Quins v Wigan
7pm. Awards ceremony, presentations and interviews follwed by band.
Invite every ex-player we can find, every ex-employee, every ex-sponsor. Get Fosters and VB on sale.
Invite every school with a registered team and every player from every amateur club. I don't care if they say they are busy, physically drag the media into their boxes. Branson given first dibs at sponsoring the event.....
£5 in for everyone.
Get it planned now (ie, ask for the buy in of the clubs involved, the rfl and SKY). Get it publicised.
There are enough rugby league fans in the capital to fill the stoop, so what is neded is to give them a real reason to come and give it a go.
Get Wigan and Leigh involved...try and get as many of them down as well.
This would take a massive amount of work and commitment to pull off, but I honestly believe that if the RFL and the away clubs play ball, this could be a really successful and productive event.
You never know, Rupe1 and SB might even attend

Missing the point Listy. This wouldn't just be about Quins, but a proper London RL celebration. I am sure that people would come and go throughout the day, but the main aims would be to celebrate 30 yrs and raise awareness.
I wouldn't be able to attend......but I am sure a fair few would. HTH

Definitely get Sky involved on this one, Show the Skolars game in the after noon and then our game in the evening as that weekend's SLgame.Call the whole thing the London RLweekend, festival , whatever!! Come on Sky you owe us one for the Catalans away fiasco this year!
A day like this WILL take a lot of work but as our season is now over there is plenty of time to start planning this event. NOW!

Get real. Quins RL needs London RL as much as they need us. The Admirals, for example. Do you not care about them? They provided Clubb and Scarsbrook with their footing in RL.
By all means, just turn up for the SL game....you will be a statistic on the gate and your beer money will still generate revenue. I still say there are easily 12,500 RL fans across the region and if this was planned now (ie the weekends fixtures are set prior to the open draw) then, if played in late July, after the wendyball world cup, you would have over 9 months to market the event.
The 8,000 gate against Wigan a couple of years back involved 2,750 + travelling fans, so we could safely expect the same. Leigh may well bring 500+, so there's 3,250. Add the 2,500 odd hard core QRL fans and we are nearly at 6,000. Next up are the amateurs and the schools...another potential 4,000......and then you have the occasionals, the curious and the corporates....not too hard if planned correctly

We took 5 coaches [ paid for by sponsors but with £14 admission and around 400/450 in total up to Gateshead a month ago , With us not visiting them or Toulouse next year if you were playing W1g4n in a double header I would expect around 500 as you suggest if marketed properly
We do have a fairly large group of fans [ the salmon army

| I really hope that SOMETHING happens along these lines. It would be a great day out with fans from Leigh Wigan Quins and that bloke from Skolars
As some on here have said, I am an egotistical self promoting person.....so I'll leave it to someone else to call it:

Was Wigan according to Wiki!
"Nearly 10,000 curious fans turned up for the opening game at Craven Cottage, most of whom were watching their first ever live Rugby League match. The newly formed side surprisingly beat highly regarded Wigan 24-5. Fulham RL went on to win promotion at the end of their inaugural season."
Shame we can't find a few more of those "curious" fans
