Would expect pretty much a full house for that. Will be interesting to see how the attendances hold up through their season.

That would appear to be so. Speaking with a member of the Trailfinders staff, they said that they have been told, that we shall finish the season at Trailfinders.

| I think it is completely clear, it would be pointless moving at this stage of the season, never did we think the local council would take so long to grant us permission, now in NZ we would have moved!

Sanity prevails!
I'm genuinely worried about next year and attracting fans to the club, but it would have been suicide to take this squad against Featherstone Rovers to a new audience.....much better next February and an opener against Swinton

| Good to see The Dons! first game next week Bolton home, sold out! Got to respect what they have delivered, and it's been a wrong tough journey for them!

Every venue has not been easy, the time at Charlton & Quine sea dons I made every game home & away. I was only telling a friend today, in my early 20's I was approached to join a Radio Station in Europe, and relied I can't I watch the Saints! being sent to the first Fulham game, I never went to Saints, except when Bronicos played there, but there are few os us, if Saints last erjebd can only attract 7,000?
Was just chatting with young Alex, he's so excited about going to Whitehaven this weekend, he can't wait, he will most likely travel up Saturday, as I've said before good on him! All he's problems he's experienced, and he's a qualified Union & League referee!
This afternoon we signed up with support to the Muslim community in South London, the first in rugby league, many Premiership Football clubs have signed up, we have to work hard in the local community, again last week players were volunteering with Dons Community Support, we have to work hard, we can do it, I believe.

| Jaybs the club do appear to be doing some positive things but I confess I worry about recruitment strategy. If you dawdle you get nothing and in this particular sector London is a hurdle not a draw for quality staff.
I also fear the increased length of the journey next season will raise my son’ s resistance to coming so I hope the end product is better than what we saw on Sunday

I don't disagree! It's a long time since I've been as disappointed as Sunday night, not quire as bad as in my early teens, when West Ham lost I couldn't eat! lol

Perhaps the ground, yes! but look at Trailfinder, the artificial pitch has had its day lol
Whitehaven itself is quite nice, especially down at the harbour, if he is going up Saturday it is a good little town, better than Workington.

I cannot agree. jaybs. The whole place is a dump. Sure the ground is awful, but the town is derelict and the harbour which could be, nice is grim. Full of crappy boats.
The shadow of Derrick Bird hangs over the place. It is not nice.
Now if the place was on the south coast it would be different as money would pour in and it would come alive. Sadly it is not.
I do agree about Workington too. That is also, not that good.

Parts of Cumbria were actually in Lancashire prior to 1974. However, Whitehaven would have been in Cumberland, home of the sausage.

Cumbria Sausage! a favourite of mine, never had it for ages! Completely agree about Rob Purdham! Just been chatting to young Alex, he is setting off tomorrow (Friday) just hope the weather is good, if it is wet? not the best place to be! I had the same enthusiasm as a youngster, but I never had the many battles Alex has come though with Autism,

The largest colouring pencil.
Seeking that out will keep Alex occupied.
It is yellow, by the way.

Does anyone know if this has been officially confirmed yet, or failing that, is it a safe assumption to make that the Fev game will be at Ealing?? Trying to plan ahead as a Fev fan and must admit Trailfinders would remove the potential parking problem.

| Phantom,
Sadly the fans aren’t in the know about the club’s plans but I think it’s a really safe bet that it will be played at Ealing. Only complete lunatics would make their debut in a new stadium with, hopefully, some new fans and play the last game of a really disappointing season against a side that, without being too defeatist, is most likely to spank us. That would be marketing incompetence of the highest order and I think the club is better than that. There’s been no launch for Wimbledon and, in any event, the club would have to it all over again inFebruary? For the new season.
