Strange that you would think that pointing out the clubs failings equate to a wish for it to fail.

What Club?
We have a team of 25 or so players who are bolted on to finish bottom, we are tenants in another ground and we are paying not only rent, but also a % of the gate and a fee for administration. Season Tickets are now memberships to a facility that limits our growth prospects off the field (we had more fans in 2008 than this place has seats) and as it stands, the only way to buy a ST/Membership is off-line and in person. The Clubs new colours, together with the new manufacturer of the goods for the shop are only available to those who attended the HAC game, the marketing to date involves a mention at half time and it would seem that nothing more than a major cost cutting exercise has taken place which has alienated the already shrinking hard-core of supporters.
Willing them to fail? Jesus wept, I want nothing more than the business to prosper and the team to win but with what's been delivered after protracted and totally unnecessary 18 months of negotiations doesn't need my willing it for it to fail miserably......Helen Keller could see what's going to happen.
13,000,000 quid in 6 years has been ed up the wall and I can only imagine the total figure over 18 SL seasons that has been lost to bad decisions, bad judgement and bad management.....and yet all that changes is the post code.



Hey...onwards and upwards. The only benefit to supporting this team in 2014 is that after the total mess that's been made of the business and playing staff, the only way is up.

David Hughes only wants a team not a club. He keeps re-inventing the team but has never tried to build a club. Fans are a nuisance he has to live with. For the umpteenth time we are cuckoo-ing on the back of another club, with probably the usual outcome. I will support the team, but we have no real club, it is a Potemkin village.

Simply put, if you are a fan of top flight UK RL then London Broncos will be your destination this year if you live in and around the M25, but make no mistake, not 1 penny of your contribution, in ticket sales, merchandise or curries will make a blind bit of difference to the outcome in terms of the long term viability of the club as a professional entity.

So long as you fully understand and appreciate that, then you will only have disappointment on the field to deal with......the rest is already a done deal.

This is a thread about Marketing.

Not sure if you remember the marketing strategy for the first games at The Valley, the Stoop, the Valley, Griffin Park, The Stoop as Quins and the stoop as the Broncos v.2.....but it involved sticking posts in the ground, announcing KO times and hoping people turned up.....and we know how those masterstrokes turned out!

I'll keep repeating my posts so long as the idiots in charge keep repeating the same mistakes....as I've said BEFORE funnily enough, stick me on ignore if you like, but continue to stalk me and I will continue to respond.

It's almost like some on here believe if I stop posting, the club will miraculously find 5k fans and a team that will avoid relegation......alas, both of those involve marketing (which we've outsourced) and development (which we've given up)

Why do other posters attack you as you put it gutters mate!? A lot of us have said on here we actually agree with a lot of stuff you say, but every time one of us tries to look to the positives it almost always results in a "doom gloom its all rubbish, you are all buying in" etc etc etc from you.
Some of us on here want to watch rugby league and we want to watch London Broncos rugby league.

So to summarise. The club are in crap, will not exist past this season, we have a poor team and everyone should give up and some on here who will part with their money are just idiots wasting their time. We have no future.

Again, not sure where I've called people idiots for supporting the team. I freely admit to be bemused at the attitude on here that we have a chance of anything other than utter humiliation this year, but each to their own.
Quite possibly and most assuredly so under the guidance of this management and this owner. Without a change at the top and down through the important roles at the club we will simply get more of the same. Alas, there is no investor this year or next, the same management across the club and little chance of any change this year, so 2015 may well happen, but it won't be as a SL club.

Let's get something straight Michael, when the club announce something positive, I'll be the first to applaud. This far, existing, having a make shift team for the coming season, losing to a Catalan squad with 8 first grade players, only being able to buy memberships in person, players signing then not signing etc etc are not positive. They are indicative of more of the same bollox that the club have rolled out over recent years.

We lost by an average score of 18-35 last season, that's the highest against average and highest points difference in 18 years, we closed it out with 2 wins against teams with nothing to play for with the help of Soward, but still achieved the lowest points total for a SL season and were kept off the bottom because Salford were docked points.
In 2014 we have a far weaker squad.
That's where I get my opinion that we will struggle in 2014 and be relegated to the 2nd tier as a result of it. I am not happy about it by any stretch, but them's the stats I use to come to the same conclusion as the bookies, who rarely get it wrong

How could we not fully understand it? You tell us on every ****ing thread about 20 times!! What exactly are you trying to achieve? Some kind of revolution by the fans to overthrow the management? As to membership - I don't understand the model, but we at least have a team. in a previous post you said we would be in the championship in 2015 in front of<800 fans and would TK stick with us. the answer I am sure is no, the club/team have no future in the championship.

but as others have said, I am interested in the rugby, supporting my team even if they are crap - enough of all the other stuff and the personal opinions about non-rugby issues

Hi everyone ive been reading the forums with interest to see if the bronco's would survive and they have and ive been following the arrangement with ground and soccer club and new signings. hope the season goes well and you beat the drop and your crowds are up a bit on last season.

But if you are relegated has anyone on here ever though of a group of fans banding together and making an offer for the club... then as group of shareholders maybe even including current owner, owner of barnet, plus group of fans turned shareholders. I mean if did get relegated shares would be relatively cheap if the owner wants out or to reduce there stakehold. Under the new system coming in after 2015 promotion is possible! also you could have a proper board at the club i dont think bronco's even have a board do they? board could lobby for assistance with basic promotion from RFL or even teach the RFL how to promote and what you need (within reason obviously) things like getting contra advertising on sky tv to promote attending bronco's games, cross promote have bronco's info in programme, billboards, crowd anouncements etc at Wembley for challenge cup final. lock in a deal with the RFL for them to fund or partially fund london academy combine with bronco's, skolars, hemel, all the sides in the south of the UK.

Gutterfax your obviously a dedicated bronco's supporter and got some insightful points but you come across like youve lost the plot a bit at the clubs past failures. The glass is probably less than half full i am a realist but to much negativity drives people away there are some positives you have a glass and there some reasonable amout of water in it thats of drinking quality enjoy.... to put things in perspective The 2013 Wellington Rugby League Grand Final drew a smaller crowd than the bronco's average home crowd last year and as im sure you know the thats the highest level of rugby league available in wellington barring one off game the nz warriors played here last year!

Gutters, read what other folk post, a lot of us agree with a lot of what you say. But its basically getting very tedious you replying to every thread with the same waffle on stats, gus, the hive, the stooo, we are all doomed. Ffs mate you sound like TR after a game but in negative.

I agree with you. Lots of us, including me, have had a good moan about the clubs shortcomings. Personally, I've made my point so I don't feel the need to repeat it.

Gus is pretty dim though.

Point of order. There are 18 threads on the front page of the London Broncos forum and this one, the MARKETING THREAD and the Catalans game thread are the only ones where I have berated Gus or delivered stats, whilst questioning the validity of the plan for the future or the reasoning behind us even moving in the first place. The Catalan thread game thread BTW was where I was positive about the result until paddock piped up about me being deluded and even then I posted [u1 entry [/uthat was tongue in cheek and ended with some stats on Mr A. Morley (which you responded to BTW)...the rest of my Gustastical negativity is in this thread, meaning there are other 16 threads surrounding the team, ticketing, Memberships, Visas, Wigan in London and loads of other nice fluffy stuff for those of a nervous disposition.....



2/18 is about 11% of the threads on the London landing page. If you feel the need to exaggerate the amount of threads I am actually being negative in, it points to you spending far too much time reading my posts rather than the ones like the U19's at Hemel at the same time Gus will be hiding behind Blake Solly and David Lawrenson.
Have to laugh at the need for the RFL to be present to give the forum any credence.

I think to be effective it would need to be one syllable combined with pain compliance.
