Programme just added to my depression. Only thing that I got out of the Powell interview was his opinion that a win could turn things round. Well, we've had 4 wins this season, all against poor opposition, none of them changed anything and I can't see that even a win on Saturday against the worst SL team, apart from ourselves, is going to be any magic key. Just look at the following fixtures, I can't see any win in the offing except maybe against Leeds if they're really in freefall.

I am with Steve on this....if we don't beat widnes, I can see us ending the season last on 4 points.
I also agree with PP.....the only way we will climb the table is when it reverts back to alphabetical order in November



Frankly, after listening to that show, I feel even more depressed than ever. Powell rambling on about "fans should see us at training" just about sums up how out of his depth he is.....

Have you considered that he may wish to say things that would be unpalatable to the fans, players and owner? Should he say something like, "Gowers a miserable get, Robertson doesn't want to be here, all the young Londoners are way out of their depth...Rodney should have stuck with the Bull riding and all the others are a load of old crocks". ?

TBH, there's not many on here that would be happy with anything he said other than "I resign" so he can't really win.

Dan I respect your viewpoint BUT 4 wins in a year is getting a bit much and you know how much I care! I can't think of anyone else in professional sport who wouldn't have got the tin tack with that record.

I know PP and you know how much I care. I'm just making the point that no-one would be happy with anything he said (other than those two words!).

I find it hard to believe that if DH was in a position to be able to make changes such as getting rid of RP, then he would have done so. Either that or he genuinely believes that RP is the man for the job. Neither scenario sits well with Broncos fans.

I'll be there for the game...
I won't be bringing a towel, it's just repeating the same message but in a different form. The club reckon they read the boards, they've not acted as most would like on the message being sent, so why should a dozen or so towels being thrown on or towards the pitch make any difference



I won't be bringing any friends/colleagues/aquaintances, why would I want to show them the dross that is being served up?

I won't be wearing a Broncos top, they didn't have them in my size when I tried on a few occasions. Neither will I be visiting the shop to see if they have them in yet (have they announced that new stock is in yet?), there is no pride in wearing that shirt yet, but I live in hope

What I hope to see is a closely contested game played by two teams at the wrong end of the table, what I hope to see is a Broncos win, but what I really hope to see is a lot of effort, a great team effort, and a lot of pride in themselves

A win against widnes won't change anything, a run of wins would help but we all know that won't happen.
Listening to RP last night did make it sound like he was deluded, if they train well he should be able to tell them how to play that way on the pitch. Same goes for the players, they still have the positive attitude of 'we can beat anyone' when you talk to them. I like the optimism but I'm fed up with hearing one thing and seeing another.

Yep, I felt like chucking the radio at the cat halfway though listing to his drivel.

I'm in for bringing a towel, also up for not clapping the players out at the start and booing if we lose the game- never done either of these before but I'm fed up of being a "good" supporter now when the club obviously don't seem to care about us anymore.

Also re Radio London, Joe Mbu talked about New River being a castle for the skokars and they weren't happy letting anyone invade it. I hope we can get that attitude into us one day

Steve was asked what he thought...he responded that it wasn't the right area in his opinion. If that's a discussion, then yeah, it was "discussed".

Wont personally be bringing along a towel but will be sitting there in silence initially at the start.
Didnt think it would get to the point when I felt the need to e mail them my displeasure, but that
moment arrived last weekend. You never know somebody might just reply at some point in time.

So were all these towels confiscated by the stewards? The only bloke I could see throwing the towel in was the Tom Jones impersonator.

I had a group of 4 lads next to me and a chap behind them who had towels. Only waved them when the Broncos scored a try I think though.

And fair play to them all they were loud and supportive. Not like the foghorn in the back row who got told off when he shouted 'what a load of rubbish' - a lady a couple of rows in front of him told him he should be supporting the team and shouting encouragement. He went quiet for the next 20 mins I think

That's another season I don't sit in the West Stand. Cringe.

The head steward was standing at the back of the stand with 2 mins. to go trying to spot anyone with towels and I assume direct his staff to intercept them. From what I heard him say into his radio he only found people with scarves. (They were only waving them.)
