It is what I have been saying for weeks it is unbelievable that Super League does has not been able to find a sponsor with weeks to go to the first game, so it is not going to be easy for us I agree, but I did not think there was a need to mock it, whatever turns you on!

Perhaps St Helens did well to get Typhoo Tea as shirt sponsors for two seasons, which they see as a partnership rather than just sponsorship, the tea will be sold and used throughout the new stadium, I have not seen how much they paid! The Chief Executive of Typhoo, Mr Packer said "I was partly attracted to the St Helens RL sponsorship deal because of its television exposure overseas in countries including Australia and New Zealand" note the brand is also going to change it's main colour from dark red to bright red and Saints will do the same! “We are also looking forward to realising the full potential of the partnership, and increasing exposure of Typhoo Tea and Saints via a host of joint initiatives.

Saints CEO said “Additionally, our community programmes interact with more than 50,000 youngsters, so alongside Typhoo Tea’s Sport For All scheme, we will be joining forces to get more young people active.”
As part of the deal, which will be supported by substantial market investment, the new home and away strips will showcase the iconic Typhoo Tea logo. The brand will also adorn all media backdrops, official club stationery, match-day and season tickets, along with more than 18,000 branded cups of Typhoo Tea being served at every home fixture. Typhoo Tea will also create a family area where young children can go with their parents to enjoy the game, while the club and their fans will support the company’s Sport For All programme, with bucket collections at selected fixtures, enabling further funding to be invested in community sports.

We should be looking at a sponsor that feels they will gain from the association and sponsorship being seen around the North of England as much as London and TV.

We now wait for all Club Chairman in Super League and the RFL to make a decision, as it seems we have "inadvertently" registered six non federation players with the signing of Jarred Hickey, we have plead for dispensation. A decision is expected later this week.

Sad to see Dominic Fenton is leaving the week before the first game of the season against St Helens, I have always found Dom very helpful, it just surprised me how many years he has been with the club, which is 15 years, Thanks Dom!

After Stobart being touted as Super League sponsor, will Club Chairman accept at a meeting today BetFair as sponsor, the website name was registered a few days back, ironic they are based not far the The Stoop!

How on earth did we do that. You'd have thought each player would have had a classification sticker against his name on a roster with a classification 'count' at the bottom. Maybe we will not see Mr Hickey now.

Same sentiments, but it seems to be after 15 years and perhaps tough commitment during
the summer he just wants a new challenge (in radio for many years I could not take summer
holidays and it was a pain) Dom is now 43 and single perhaps he just wants a lifestyle change,
he says he will continue to watch, funny time to leave though the week before the first match
of the season.

Dave I think Dom started as marketing & promotions assistant, but he then went on to have many posts over the 15 years, but he was surprised when he was appointed football manager

I believe he started as an office junior, assisting with prety much everything and everything and then became Football Operations Manager.....a role that I believe entailed sorting out everything for the team from Kit to travel, hotels, etc..etc..etc...

Dave it is probably easier to ask what Dom didn't do for the club. He is a grafter and would do anything that was necessary and a very likeable person. We wish him all the best for his future and as said peveiously on here I hope he left on good terms with the club because he lived and breathed London RL. Good Luck Dom and thanks for all you did even driving backwards and forwards with all the equipment for the CATS games and pre season training

I am slightly worried it is bad to lose Dom but Petra Walsh also departed before Xmas. I am not sure we can afford to lose such experienced people.
