Read into it what you will the club have not shown themselves to be entirely honest in their dealings but, hey, this is professional sport.

Mmmmmm....If "Team Randall" has this much input/involvement on the shaping of the squad then perhaps he should dip into his pocket and relieve DH of some of the financial burden of financing the club? I suspect he'll be nominated as captain as well next season after Purds goes. Perhaps the new name has already been decided...........Randalls Renegades or Chads chosen ones.

So it would appear that Quins (or whatever) in their infinite wisdom have decided to release the two players that I (and a number of others) would like them to have kept. That's the way to build for the future after a lamentably poor campaign in which they have amply demonstrated that they are not fit to belong in SL.

I don't know, I'm just spitballing really. But I want the club to know how unhappy we all are with current events, I don't want them to get away with what usually happens at home games, i.e. we lose, the atmosphere is funereal, we politely clap the players off then retire to the bar and shrug our shoulders. The way this club is being run at the moment is pretty appalling (we shouldn't be finding out about player departures via twitter) and I think we should let Mackay, Powell, Randall et al know that.

Off the top of my headl I can think of two approaches, not mutually exclusive - a stunt at the next home game largely for the benefit of the press and the fans who don't know what is going on and an email campaign to the club letting them know what we think. I am sure we could embarrass the club big time if our actions got on twitter/facebook etc.

I don't really get the hype from Wilkes. OK, he was our best prop this year, but that wasn't exactly difficult with what we have. I think he's just a another journeyman plodder and will be forgotten about next season. Especially with Kaufusi coming in, he is what our pack is missing and needs.

I just hope Ward isn't given a contract extension.

Didn't Kaufusi say recently he hadn't heard anything from Quins? I know the Knights want rid of him but think he's keen to stay.

Still could have been offered more by Wakey. I assume the club must have a reason linked one hopes to the composition of the squad and where money is being spent in certain positions.

Ellis tweeted me to say all would be revealed today - I assume this means League Express. Anyone seen it?

Basically it says,

'Andy Ellis had to seek new employment elsewhere after his contract offer was withdrawn by Harlequins'

Says he wanted to stay and was looking for a house but the contract was suddenly withdrawn.

In League Weekly it states the contract was withdrawn after Chad Randall (Captain of Team Randall) signed a two year deal and Julian Rinaldi was rumoured to have signed.

So two oldies for a better young one. Wonder which fans are going to be the happiest.

Other than that he is sad to be leaving, and as a fan I too am sad he is leaving.

Let's hope we have some better replacements coming soon.

Club seems to think having Randall & Ellis doesn't work. Perhaps Randall insists on being top dog.

Either way its a farce. We've let go of one of the best English players we've had in ages.
