No excuses this is a game that should be won if the players apply themselves

I don't dispute we should win, we "should" beat ALL the part-time sides, home and away, this does not mean we WILL, we have no "divine right"!

I'd be suprised if we did beat them all, home and away to be honest.

My point about it not being life and death just yet is.......It's the first bloody game of the season for chri'sakes!!!

To stand any chance of going up this year, 1st place is required in the Championship. Given Leigh and Bradford appear to be stronger than us, this means we must win all of our other games. I'd add to that, that we must also look to defeat the loser of the opener between Leigh and Bradford as well to stand any chance of getting 1st spot........defeating the 9 part-time outfits twice and one of the others twice would give us 40 points from a possible 44.......I believe the champions this year will need 40 points.

We play 23 games - home and away plus the Big Bash. That's a possible 46 points.

Our first 3 games - Doncaster at home, followed by sheffield and leigh away. All three games are tough. If we want to be competing for top 4 I feel we need to win one of these but they are all difficult ones, especially to two away from home.

We need to win 2 of these not one!

3 of them to stand a chance of getting promoted!

If we break even with Leigh and the Bulls and beat all the other teams home and away we could be OK !

Stand by for the joys of dual registration this weekend. Amongst the players reportedly sent by Hull to Doncaster this weekend are Stuart Howarth (108 Super League appearances), Iafeta Paleaaesina (190 SL games and 83 in the NRL) and Steve Michaels (119 NRL appearances). Doesn't mean they are going to have a massive impact, of course, (or even be selected I guess) but the unpredictability of who makes the dual-regged teams' squads each week has frustrated many Championship fans.

Iafeta Paleaaesina always did damage against us, but he is probably the size of a blue whale by now and can only give 5 mins a half, but.........

3 out of 3 will give is a great chance of making the top 2 this year, the leigh V bradford game this weekend is well worth all of us keeping an eye on and apparently highlights will be on super league full time on Monday night.

Beating leigh is important but season isn't over if we don't, we must beat donny and sheffield though.

Speaking of dual registration why haven't we joined with a super league club with this, do the dragons have a partner?
