Wouldn't it be nice to have a venue, where the pies only have to travel the same distance as most London fans have to travel to a home game.
Good Options:
Crewe Alexandra
(Main Line from Wigan, only 11.20 rtn, two stops, spread RL word)
MK Dons
(middle of nowhere, to depress everyone off)
Stockport County
( to depress everyone)
Northampton
(small stadium, to spread the word)
we have to have a full stadium, though if at St Helens, maybe they will do a deal and come out for us, though, I think it will be Salford, another town without a station.
Also want Sunday Game, though not a late kick off

Nightmare.... There is no longer a train station situated in Leigh, but there are several train stations situated in neighbouring towns that can be reached by bus from Leigh. The nearest train station to Leigh is Atherton, which is served by regular trains from Wigan  
From a football site posted 4.5 years ago. Assuming correct... "The nearest train stations are in Atherton and Daisy Hill, both approximately four miles from the stadium with regular rail services from Manchester and Wigan Wallgate. Last time I went there I did it by bus from Manchester. I've never driven there but know someone who got badly snarled going there - limited routes in from the motorway caused problems if my memory is correct. Perhaps allow a little time in case that is still an issue. A prior commitment means I can't make it, enjoy it if you are going. Whilst not ideal by public transport it is possible if you do want to travel.

This has got to be one of the most ridiculous decisions made by the RFL - and they make a living out of making ridiculous decisions!
I sort of thought somewhere like Donnie might have been a reasonable choice - it's been used before and it is further than walking distance for the Northern club involved in the tie!

I do hope Widnes win tonight to stop the RFL fixing the semi for Wigan. It will be in fact a Wigan home game. A formal complaint should be put in, asthere are lots of nuetral options. If all else fails the RFL should fund the travelling of the Bronco fans to the same as it will cost the lancastrians. If the players need motivation this may be it. Remember Catalans being the Pies at Warrington in the CC semi!
