| Having watched the Clubb interview it sums up a lot about the club. Firstly the club allow an interview before a major and potentially positive game for them and don't set out the ground rules to Sky, given the clubs actual position. Surely a savvy media focused club would have briefed Clubb on what to say, stated to Sky they could have the more personal interview but embargo it until after the QF.
Secondly the difference in approach by each club in terms of promoting themselves for this game. Which looked positive and going places and which was the wake?
Sky demonstrate their desire to set up a very visible contrast not in any attempt to promote a game unless you like promoting car crashes. The gloating in the studio after the Clubb interview was rather obvious.
I think in a couple of months Sky can do without my subscription and I'll switch to Premier Sports.
All said the whole thing was embarrassing.
And now the end is near and so I face the final curtain ........ Our new song to run out to.

When will you stop pointing the finger at anyone other than those who are 100% responsible?
The Ground....Tony Rea.....and now it's tub'o'lard Woods's fault that the club are heading down the crapper and clubby's a bad man for speaking the truth .
David Hughes is responsible for the malaise the club finds itself in. It his poor judgment and recruitment/retention of individuals who are not up to the job in nearly every area of operations.
I for one am sick to ing death of everyone trying to put a positive spin on the goings on at the club since Ian Lenegan left.....any other business would have folded years ago, but Hughes desire to get a winning team ahead of building a sustainable business model has hammered the last nail into the coffin.
I should be sad that the club I support is being death ridden by incompetent wits, but all I feel is ing anger

| Quote ="jaybs"Nigel Woods has ruled over failure the past few seasons, not just lack of major sponsors for the game and the clubs let him loose in this way! I see clubs going into admin trying to retain their place spending monies they do not have, also clubs getting promoted spending too much.
But I just can't believe what may happen to the second tier, we are going backwards!
Not sure I'm bothered much longer, it surprises me with Tony Clubb yesterday being so negative before such a big game, but we have no real clue what is going on.
Big Nigel will rule over the destruction of the game, what did he really for for Halifax when with then, in fact what did Ralph do with his club?
Twickers again will have the last laugh!'"
I don't think Twickers really give that much thought to the administration of RL. But to focus in on our club we have no-one to blame but ourselves for the current predicament. It was pretty clear when the current licence was granted that there were areas in which we needed to improve. Rather than address those areas we have gone backwards as a club to the extent that it would be difficult for us to justify a further licence under the current arrangements.
A reduced SL puts us in real threat (and rightly so) but what concerns me most is the lack of any evident plan from the club of how it is going to secure our future.

the Imaginary "code wars" still rage in the minds of some.........I have no doubt that Tarquin Ponsonby-Smythe once shot some yorkshiremans whippet, but this "code war" bollox really needs to be put to bed
The RFU are expected to turn over close to 140,000,000 in 2013.....when ever they discuss their problems with attendance at Aviva Premiership games they make reference to soccer as their main rival, they will have Australia, Argentina and New Zealand over for a kick-a-bout this November before letting the Barbarians and Fiji play 15-a-aside touch rugby on their pitch...they will shift 328,000 tickets at an average of 50 notes a pop.....
...yeah, I am sure they are fretting over the actions of Rugby League or its token non-heartland club

| Lister your WUM tricks don't work on me anymore, at least i'm a one club man, who do you support this week?
I'm not actually loving this, the soap opera is interesting i'll grant that, and GF's posts which lately are 100% spot on are 'entertaining', i can only see one way currently for London and that's oblivion because of the inept way the club is ran, i take no joy in that at all, years back when Branson was in charge, the likes of Offiah, Edwards etc playing i honestly thought this was finally going to deliver a team that could compete for trophies. Slowly over the years the club has been on a slow decline and now i'm a little bitter actually that people have just stood by and let it happen. But the thing is as much as i have a soft spot for London, i've never adopted them as my club, more a marriage of convenience, will i take it has badly as you guys? no, i think i'll shift my RL London focus to Wood Green rather than Twickenham if you fold.

Good for you.
Problem is, there are may people on here who actually do care, who love Broncos as much as you apparently love Warrington and your smug, conceited wind up comments succeeed in getting peoples backs up.
Anyway, off to Sheffield in a bit to see some rugby.

| You care, i've seen your passion and fire for the club in person but the main problem with the LB fans is that they've just let the status quo continue, people joked about the Wire fan who tried to burn his shirt and the booing at the game, people joked about Wire's sit in with Cullen and our Jimmy Lowes protests but the fans cared, they made it known they wouldn't take it.
What have London fans done? Clapped the team off time after time, enjoyed a drink after the game, the players come into the bar and still with the guys in front of you, nothing.
GF saw the problems and has been clever enough to not just rant but point out every single failure with facts and figures yet even still he's ridiculed on here.
Gus/Dave/Powell/Rea useless, yet the happy clappers buried their head in the sand and the one's that could have effected change just stopped going.
I didn't go to the Wire game this season at Gills, could have and wanted to, but didn't on principle because it wasn't right and thought LB were getting shafted.
Now i'm starting to think that these LB fans that 'care' about the club deserve oblivion because they've done sod all to effect change.

Thanks, for Your opinion, what people never seem to grasp and especially in the North that London Broncos loyal fans are spread over a large distance, we have no central meeting place except match days! we don't all read the same local paper, work with each other and shop together!
What can we do except write to the CEO and David Hughes, no I'm not a protester on match days, I find that sad in any sport.
We do come in for some stick! but a club like Huddersfield Giants with such History from 1895 last week could only attract 5,000! and they are at the top of Super League fighting with Wigan & Warrington, that is Failure! but it is never perceived that way! The RFL purchased Odsal Stadium, was that right really? their attendances since they found new owners have not risen in any way?
Too Many who support Rugby League have their heads in the sand! the games wants to think it is the Greatest Sport but does little to prove that, is is currently run at Red Hall by buffoons, and that's being kind! but no one does anything, club chairmen are too Parochial, currently it is not just London Broncos, but the problem is we are an easy target!

LB fans have walked away in their droves. Even I, as a ST holder, haven't bothered watching all our 'home' games and not bothering going to many away games. Sometimes we're outnumbered buy the opposition club fans too. Having a 50% smaller fan base than we did 3~4 years ago must tell the club rather a lot. But the club with it's information vacuum just seem to have given up rather than show some incentive and do better. If I got so pie-eyed and was stupid enough to set my Broncos shirt on fire them I would.

What have Hudds getting 5000 got to do with London fans not doing anything?
I'm well aware if the spread of London fans, i have to travel over an hour to get to the stoop, but even when you're all in the stadium, nothing.
You might not be a fan of protests but sometimes it's makes the money people aware, sponsors at the game may not always be aware of discontent, but when they see fans at games not happy, they ask questions.
If fans don't vocalise their issues, then the guys in charge don't feel any pressure.
How you can blame the RFL for internal abject failure really is sticking your head in the sand, the alleged DH playing hard ball with an organisation that doesn't give a crap about his club was another failure. The only one constantly putting pressure on Gus (GF)getting emails asking him to stop was laughable but if you'd all have done the same he might have been shown the door a long time ago. There are problems in RL, but people in other areas work to solve them or work to campaign against them, Leigh had a prominent MP fight their cause they were so passionate. Well at least you can enjoy a nice match day curry though, so all's well.

Not posted here in a while but this is spot on, and it sickens me to my stomach when I'm at the Stoop. So ingrained is the club's culture of losing that it seems to be celebrated when we come close these days now.

I don't see Huddersfield fans up in arms that their club seems to be fading with attendances, when at last they are doing well on the pitch!
An hour to The Stoop, one time it used to be no more than two and a half hours drive for me, now it is getting more three and a half hours, M6, M40 and M25.
I'm not sticking my head in the sand the RFL or those two at the top! do a lot of mouth service but when it comes to the action and results I never see much action!
Yes I agree Gus is doing nothing for us, he makes promises of news that never materialises, without David Hughes would we have been here now in 2013, I doubt it, I'm quite sure Nigel Woods would have not done for us what he did for the Bulls!
Leigh, OK, yes they have a nice ground now, not their money! but the club continues to struggle financially and not even that strong on the pitch, well behind the leaders, an MP of yes we hear a lot about health problems from him, and he caused most of them as once health minister!
Again I said to you it is completely different when a club is in and part of a community, our following comes from such a large area, I was sent to cover the first game on radio as a teenager from the North, and I have followed ever since, been loyal, had my say and often got knocked for it, sent my letter and emails when so frustrated and still never walked away like so many others here!
Dr Koukash must today be regretting he ever met Nigel Woods, the stick he is getting and so many wanting to see Salford fail, and people wonder why we can't get major sponsors with big financial support, who would invest in London with any common sense today or in fact in Rugby League, where is the game going? I'm not sure of it's future, time to accept we are a small time sport and with those at Red Hall that will not change very quickly, hope it does not get to the stage when it is too Late for Change!

| Well my take on it is that until you get a management who are even half interested in pushing the club forward, the decline will continue. I really sympathise with those fans who make the effort to go and watch but unless there is a real seed change at the top, I do believe that Broncos' days could be numbered.

| My July copy of Forty-20 magazine has arrived today and the centrepiece interview is with Clubb about how he doesn't want to play for London any more.
Why exactly was he appointed captain if his heart is not in it?
