Sharp would be great - if only to sing " He's the sharpest Willy in Rugby League"

I read this and have to admit i'm a bit confused here. Wasn't it reported by Broncos and other media that we have lost Bailey for the season anyway due to an injury (bicep tear) picked up in the origin game. At the same time before the Salford game i'm sure I saw that Kaufusi was still injuried and should be available for the Catalans game (which he was)..As for Dixon the Broncos site said hes out for 6 weeks.

As for bit about Lee and Sharp, well its been know for Nosey Parker to get a lot of his facts wrong. But if Lee is on 70grand then it does make you wonder what we have to pay to get anyone to come and play for us. I'm no expert in this area and I know its been mentioned a few times here before but I take it we have to pay more due to the London weighting allowance. If so does anyone have idea just how much the club has to pay over a season for having this
lumped into our wage bill.

Players don't like coming down cuz they have to move house for a couple of years, uprooting their kids from school etc.

They can stay up north, in their family home, and play for every other club in the top two flights (apart from Cats but thats ANOTHER story).

The whole structure of the league is wrong and creates this dull mess where the top 4 dominate the rest do bugger all, all played out in empty stadia.

Is £70k alot really for Lee?

I think salary cap is £1.6m to be splt between 25 players or so. So dividing it up equally would see each of the 25 getting £64,000 a year. Lee was expected to be a first 17 player at the start of the season (and still is now) so that figure would sound about right.

Perhaps the club are sueing him for masquerading as a Rugby League player.

What attitude are the team going to have now going into this game? I seriously wonder if it is really worth spending the petrol to drive over the M62 and then M1 down to Sheffield?

At least Jamie Soward seems up for the game. He seemed very enthusiastic in his BBC interview.

But will the rest of the team follow him?

If you win all you do is give either

Wigan, Wire, Hudds, Catalan or Hull an easy route to the final, lets be realistic.

Just play Clubby at centre opposite to Yere. Was that not the situation when Clubb scored his record 4 tries for England (or GB) v. PNG?

Pedant mode: You can't have either of five, only of two. Exit pedant mode.
In a one-off game, there's always a chance. That's realistic.

Dunno think we can be quite handy with nothing else left to play for and we can be actually asked. Also only Wire and Shudders away we have an annual capitulation the others can be a little up and down. Lets be realistic we are waiting for the collection of players (most others are called teams) to meet their potential.

Beating Sheffield should be achieved with the minimum of fuss as in the last 20 minutes we should be able to run them ragged.
Beating any of the remaining sides to reach the final would be a monumental achievement
Winning the Final and I'd be calling in the old bill to investigate any unusual betting patterns.....eh Rammo?

I was there when Sheffield beat Wigan at Wembley.

Marvellous day for the "Magic of the Cup". That'll surely inspire Sheffield tomorrow and will inspire whichever of us wins tomorrow when we play our semi-final.

A month ago, I would have said we had absolutely no chance in a semi.

However, there is a 67% probability that tonight's winner will meet a team whose form is on the slide in the semi.

Wigan although they've looked beatable, will up their game for Widnes, Wigan win & favourites for a final appearance

Both Hull FC and Catalan have the ability to really show up and beat teams well, they also have the ability to self destruct but still both teams will beat LB or SE and easily.

Wire v Hudds, Wire have indifferent form but still finding wins and Hudds the same. Winner of this favourite for a final appearance, both will run up a cricket score if they face LB/SE

Don't forget that with the game on Sky, for the players that would appear to think that the club's going down the pan this will be their shop window to sell themselves to a potential new employer.
