| From the games I saw yesterday, Crusaders and Whitehaven would fancy their chances against us (got back from the Racecourse just in time to see the replay of Hudds' first try).

| Quote ="Rascal Bongo Stork"yesterday was shocking. Utter disorganisation, amateur standard play - lower level amateur at that, lazyness, players obviously uninterested, no heart, nothing. I cant believe Rob Powell still has a job. It's a joke. That team does not deserve to be playing in Super League.
I'll be at Gillingham, my daughter is in the minis festival in the morning and the Broncos game is our, err, highlight of the day. As I said to 'er indoors last night I'm worried that just as I'm getting my girl into RL she's going to cotton on to the fact how utterly abysmal the Broncos are and it'll put her off for life. She'll be seeing us get whupped next week and she'll be seeing us get whupped the weekend after that as well. Thank God I took her to Dewsbury for her first game!'"
Enjoy the mini's at least you will see effort and enthusiasm from all taking part. The sad part is there is likely to be a good number of newbies attending the Gills game and what are they going to see from the Broncos?

| In answer to the original question asked, I don`t see anything changing any time soon and I have got the uncomfortable feeling that what we are witnessing is the final demise of the club.
DH has done his money with the club and deserves the respect for putting so much time, effort and money into keeping this club going......having said that it appears that he has made some terrible decisions along the way which has led us to our current dreadful state. He has made a commitment to keep the club going to the end of this licence period and I think that is all we will get......forget about him pumping extra funds into marketing and players.
On the subject of the coach, if he has a contract to the end of the season then DH will let it run its course......god knows who we might get thereafter but don`t expect any big hitters. A quick look at the player contract status indicates that there will be precious few of the current squad leaving, so any new coach will have pretty much the same outfit to work with. I can see Gus walking before too long.
Without any new investment (and lets face it, who would want to take on such a shambles in the current financial climate) all I expect to see is more of the same until the club finally folds. As a fan all I can do is to continue buying my season ticket and get to the games (I have scrubbed the idea of any away games this season) until we reach our final depressing conclusion.

| Big concern is that a lot of people became Bronco fans after being fans of RL first and watching as a neutral.
Problem now is that things have got so bad that even as a neutral the games are completely unappealing.

Id say the Club are making a pretty good job of it themselves currently.
The onfield shambles needs rescuing whether that be with David Hughes money
or the RFL`s. Inaction will lead to the Clubs death.
Maybe there is some credence in the suggestion made on here a few weeks back that
DH is sitting back waiting for the RFl to keep the London Super League project alive.

Yep, started as a St George fan in Oz, then a move to the UK where I watched Wigan win virtually everything and a move to London in the late 80's turned me into the London fan I've been ever since. Games at The Chiswick Polytechnic Stadium was my first experience of them. If I were a newbie I probably wouldn't make to much of an effort to watch London at the moment.

| I wonder why Powell hasn't resigned. He must realise the results sit with him.
Anyone who knows anythng about rugby would see that the performance yesterday was a shambles.

| Maybe time we all on mass e mailed Rammos show on Weds night all sighting reasons why DH should act now and sack RP and get someone in, even its just for the rest of the season until the club can look for a new coach for next season. Wonder if Noble fancys a couple of weeks down south before he returns to the Bulls...
But i can guess if we did or at least a few of us did mail the show, that none of it would get read out. I have in the past mailed the show when they have done well (yes it was while ago that happened),but have also mailed asking why hasnt RP been sacked. I did this a couple games after Saint Helens had sacked their coach and his record was far far better then RP, but that mail didnt get read out. so i was wondering has anyone else done this too and their mail not read out on air as it was asking for RP's head.

| Watched the game in the Nelson after the Skolars' "match".
Only bright spot was the chorus of boos that went round the pub first time RP appeared on the screen (and that was when we were 4-0 up).

| Anybody remember a few years ago when I think it was salford fans all turned up in holiday gear in protest at their team's effort and the belief the players had put their feet up? Maybe something could be done this weekend for on the road and we party regardless of what happens on the pitch. Fancy dress with towell's for turbans, beach towells and balls.

| I think the club has made absolutely clear it will tolerate virtually anything that this poorly coached, unfocused, unmotivated, disorganised team will put together. Any sensible chairman and chief executive would have acted decisively and dismissed Powell - the symbol for all that is wrong with London rugby league - in the immediate aftermath of the defeat at Widnes.
If David Hughes has got fed up of it and wants to get out, why did he sanction such spending on big name players in the off season? Why go to all the trouble of a re-brand and get Mackay to dribble on about it being a new era, a great step forward? The decision-making just makes no sense and hasn't done for some time.
Enjoy it while it lasts, ladies and gentlemen, because a Super League team in London is not long for this world.

I agree with you TC. For the rest of this season we may as well accept the fact that we can just concentrate on gelling the players together and trying to blood some of the youngsters - Rob Thomas anyone!
Next season we will have a new coach and undoubtably a few players to sort our defensive shortcomings out. Its a pity that this is not like soccer used to be when you could sign someone in the season to correct your mistakes in signings - but we cant coz of the salary cap.
When you write the team down on a sheet it looks good. We have some quality players and we should be doing much better even though some players are underperforming and some of the youngsters clearly are not yet ready for full time SL or at worst we are playing too many.
Either way Im sure we are not far short of a good team but it will have to wait until next season. A new coach would probably start the healing process but its gonna be difficult this season.
Anyway I expect to be at Gillingham and a few more games this season hopefully. Having watched as much crap as i have over the years another few months is neither here nor there before another season and another 'newish team' takes the pitch.

The rest of the season for many will involve the visits to the Stoop of Warrington, Leeds, Wigan, HKA, Salford and Widnes........with the exception of maybe Widnes, can you put your hand on your heart and declare we will get another 2 points from these games?

You assume that the club will exist next year. Given they are tracking at about 60k less in gate receipts than last year, together with the reduction in resuidual spending, the club may well have to tighten its belt to survive. That's if David Hughes doesn't just walk away, which not many people would blame him for if he did.
If they do exist next year.....how many fans will bother rolling up? less ST Holders, of that you can be assured.
