| While of course McDermott cannot be blamed for single performances we should not lose sight of the fact that he had the team 4th in the league half way through last season and beating Warrington by over 50 points. To go near on 20 matches with one win is horrendous at any level but for it to happen from a position of strength that we were in on the field is clearly not acceptable
Off field things are clearly better (other than replica shirts and crowd figures) but all of that will be destroyed by an inept team........................and the blame for that can only lay with one person

As I start to warm up again! LOL Chris your encouraging reminder of how clearly better everything is, means so much to all of us, could you though please list these "clearly better things" in alphabetical order then we can all be encouraged!!

| This is the reality of not making more serious changes in the Winter.
Settle back for several more months of this. It should be great fun.
Still at least we have 7% of the season out the way…

| One common thread here is the coach and he as to take the present (and past) performance on the chin. We had a team last year playing well then all for whatever reason fell apart in dramatic fashion. We are two games into the new season and nothing has changed and maybe is worse given the present squad which seems weaker than last year.
So what is the common theme, coaching: Why have we no attacking ideas; Ask the coach. Why can we not defend; Ask the coach, he is the person who takes responsibility. Yes we could say Mac has limited resources but is this a defence of the current position? Basically we had more or less the same team players last year and we performed. Why because they played for the coach and one another in team. Then what? Something happened last year in the dressing room (rumours of a split) and maybe Mac has lost the team, or at least he has no idea of what is wrong. A point he made at the end of last season.
Nothing has changed and today was depressing on the radio with comments “one try is too much Quins have no idea and not likely to score”. The same could be said last week we appeared to have no idea and I did not believe we had any idea of how to win. Why ask the coach, he is the person who sets the tone. Better still Mac has to consider his position and it is time for a radical change starting with his role

| I know this is going to sound ridiculous bordering on the condescending, but you guys kept at it for the full 80. The biggest issue, was the physical difference in size between the two teams. Allied to this was the lack of direction/incision from the halves, which surprised me seeing as Orr was at halfback.
As I said, you can't fault the team's application, it is just getting the direction aspect.

| No one thinks the side is not putting in the effort, that is not the problem. There is a lack of craft, size, speed and strength, oh and a complete lack of direction. We are by degrees morphing into an average Championship side, if we meet a good Championship side in the CC this side would not beat them.

| I think over time Brian has removed the skill factor from the team and possibly believes that defence can win games. Sadly you have to do more than defend.
As the score suggests we were useless today(I'm not feeling as bad as I did after the Cas game at the Stoop last year) The team we had out was the second string against a very strong Wire side who got more confident as the game went on.
On the plus O'C was steady at the back.
Sharpy was skinned by Reilly & the pack smashed by a big set of forwards.
All in all a bad day-Next week we will have LMS, Ward, Bishop back and hopefully Temata.
