I thought we got out of the blocks well and dominated early, then fell into a trap of over confidence.

Leeds, Saints etc will always thrash a team when they get in front by 20 and there confidence is high-The calibre and speed of there players is brilliant. The difficult part is stopping them playing by pressuring them early which is what we did at Leeds and for the first 10 last night(Leeds kept making "unforced errors"icon_wink.gif.

Once they [iLet rip [/ithere is no stopping them. We made some terrible mistakes last night and helped them along.

Sharpe surely wont be a Wakey next week-unless the reserves are there.

Howell knocked Randall over after bouncing off Leuluai. Why was Howell trying to tackle Leuluai when he didn't have the ball? Don't agree with you on that one at all.

Only seen it once so could be wrong. Would have to check again tbh. You could argue it all day - why was Leuluai running into Howell when he didn't have the ball?

if it's nowhere near the play then it's play on anyway. Its also a prime example of the player committing to a tackle before the man gets the ball.

I'm not saying its obstruction. I'm saying a player is getting taken out off the ball, when it is nowhere near the play - where it happens is not relevent in this case.

I'll watch it again and will happily correct myself but from what I saw last night, IMO Leuluai took the players out, regardless of their attempts to make the tackle. What could they have done? Stood there and got poleaxed? Moved out of the way?

Its in the rules that players can run dummy lines, the ball was passed behind leuleui so there was no obstruction and therefore a fair try. It was the quins player who bought the dummy and went for dummy runner instead of the player with the ball.

I mean get real, you should know the rules

I am aware of the rules, I understand dummy lines, I understand the fact it was passed behind Leuluai, I understand where was no obstruction, all I am saying is from the ONE time I have seen this on the TV, it looked like Leuluai took a man out off the ball. As I have said, if this isn't the case and the players were drawn to Leuluai and not the other way around, then i'll hold my hands up.

Having calmed down since last night, I don't think anyone was particularly at fault and we were just outclassed on the day. Looking forward to next week and beyond already

Unfortunately for the rest of super league Leeds and Saints are just too good when on form. I saw you do one of the most professional jobs at HKR last week to suggest you are a serious contender this season.

Leeds had squad numbers 1-13 available and they are the champions. On the day they were on fire.

Watched it again on the SL show mate. Between us we've just about got it.

Leuluai comes in on a dummy run, he's running into a gap. Howell choses to hit Leuluai (which is the wrong option, hence leaving space for Burrow to go through).
Howell hit's Leuluai who is not running towards either Randall or Howell, which knocks him slightly sideways into Randall. No fault of the Leeds player at all IMO I'm afraid, however you were right about it being Leuluai who clattered into Randall, but that was only because of the intervention of Howell.

I think that's only half the truth. The other half is that you let them be good. All they did was click. They did that against us but we still beat them. Your guys looked like rabbits in the headlights when they clicked. Had you held firm with your defensive lines, kept cool heads and had Will Sharpe not had that brain fart then at the very least you would have contained them and you might even have beaten them.

I would hope that young Sharpe will be replaced by young O'Callaghan next week. Maybe he needs taking down a peg or two with his recent "I should be in the England squad" comments. Schoolboy error and just after Big Mac would have been telling them to contain Leeds for the first 15 minutes of the second half

Truth:

i. we were not at our best (we needed to be 18 points up not 4;
ii. Leeds are a very good side, especially when they get in front;
iii. they were near to full strength, we were not; and
iv. we beat them at home and they responded.
