| Useful stuff about Gillingham, it's been about 20 odd years since I've been to Priestfield, looks like it's been tidied up a fair bit! Am I right in thinking London ST holders will be in the Medway Stand?

What you don't seem to take on board is that being at The Stoop is the least of our problems. There is also no evidence to suggest any other location would attract more fans.
While the club might have a desire for a share of our own ground that is not something that is going to happen within the timeframe of this licence period nor even the next without massive new investment. The club's focus right now should be very firmly on justifying our licence by having a competitive team and growing the crowds. I believe we are in serious danger of not being in a position to apply for the next licence period.

Agree with the licence being the priority, when does the current agreement with our landlord run out, that may be when we be forced to move, but I have never said it will happen overnight!
With the money spent on the squad for this season we expected more, we all tend to agree why this has not happened, but no way even if we gave away free tickets to everyone in Twickenham area will attendances increase unless we improve on the pitch!

The Stoop is a Rugby Stadium that has seated stands on all 4 sides.
The Capavity is about 200 short of 15,000
90% of the seats are under the cover of a roof.
There are 2 Bars on RL match days
There are food vans situated on site on match days
There is a dining area that is sometimes used for promotional activity (curry night)
All seats offer uninterupted views of the pitch
There are 2 club shops, one of which I believe is open on match day for League.
Twickenham Station is served by 20 trains off-peak and 32 peak, per hour.
It is a 15 minute stroll crom the Cabbage Patch to the stadium
Buses to Twickenham are hardly scarce..
[urlhttp://www.tfl.gov.uk/tfl/gettingaround/maps/buses/pdf/twickenham-2271.pdf[/url
There are nice, well furnished and professional looking offices from where to conduct business at the stoop
39 corporate boxes at the stoop
Immediate population of 200,000 spread over 22sq Miles. Extended population of 4,500,000 within 30 minutes public transport travel time....9,000,000 within 1 hr.
Richmond upon Thames Chamber of Commerce meet regularly at The Stoop....Harlequins Union are MEMBERS!
There are miltiple toilet facilities at the ground......I believe Brentford had 1 gents, with 1 stall and the ladies...god only knows.
The rent (according to posts on here which I believe) is under 4k a weeek, for office space and use of the pitch....not bad given the above list.
There you go.....all the positives that I could think of in 5 minutes....please supply a list of all the negatives you can find and by the way, being owned by a Union Club isn't one of them unless you are a 97yrs old pigeon fancier.

I have no issue with moving to the East......but if they are going to do it, for christs sake at least give the West a fair chance.

The Stoop is very "clinical".....I suspect that if the Union lot do well and average 12,591 for their games at the HOME, (not elsewhere), they may look to close off 2 corners at one end and add 4k to the capacity...their last 3 games at "HOME" have all been sold out.
I suspect that when the built the North Stand they would have made preperations for further expansion.....well run businesses do that sort of thing!

Here we go and the few sheep soon follow! you must be the smallest majority of opinion of the
small following of supporters that we have, no wonder we have nothing like the same numbers of facebook! and twitter in fact.
Gutterfax you can list all the positives you perceive about the stoop, which sound impressive, but how many of them generate income directly for London Broncos? You keep Pleading for more time to be allowed at the stoop, how many years have we been back here now? do you want us to sit tight until we lose the licence and show nothing is really happening! then some will even blame DH for doing nothing and please don't come back
with marketing as it is completely pointless until we get the product on the pitch right, anything done now is plainly P down the drain!

I presume we may be looking at Leyton, but is there something post Olympics? that could be converted, just hope it is not as far out as Gillingham.

| Gus has done nothing else right todate so chosing the wrong stadium will sit well within his strategy.
Ring fatty Wood at the RFL and get the minimum stadium criteria for SL before you sign anything.

London Wasps play in High Wycombe, London Irish in Reading - perhaps that's why we don't get the crowds, people are confused where London is and head to Milton Keynes....

| Some interesting comments. For the record I'm not a fan of the club moving away from the Stoop for a number of reasons, most raised by Gutterfex a few posts back, however Ben's original piece raises some interesting questions.

All matchday activity, bar, food concession rent, shop...all count as London Broncos takings.....but it's a stupid question anyway......there are no fans there to spend any money....which dovetails nicely into....
Quote ="jaybs"You keep Pleading for more time to be allowed at the stoop,'"
.....please point out where I said more time was needed?
As for Blaming David Hughes.......I 100% do blame him. It is insanity to spend as much as he does with no budget for marketing.......OH, your request to not come back with it being about marketing holds no water either. It is 100% to do with lack of marketing and 100% the fault of the guy bankrolling the club for neglecting the one area that would have provided an opportunity to become self sufficient, attract at least 1 paying sponsor and maybe appeal to another landlord to offer us an incentive to move.
Your continued insistance that a move is the way forward is only matched by your total lack of anything like evidence or analytical research to back it up, other than your belief that west has failed.
A move to a new ground would probably cost something like 100,000 pounds.....with staff not moving and needing to be replaced, moving costs, printing and administration etc......give me 40% of that and I'd get you 10,000 for the visit of HKA in the last game of the season.....it's what I do for a living...I deal in facts, forecasts and results, not imaginary stadiums in east London built by RL pixies and occupied by 10,000 imaginary east london RL fans........

Really?
Like telling us we were paying £400,000 to play at the stoop, or suggesting that a video would cost £10,000 to make without actually knowing how it was made.

Fair enough RB......I freely admit that the 400k figure was wrong....the video is still an unknown......apart from the fact it was a total waste of time. If it cost a gold coin it was a waste of time!
I don't care if they are paying £40,000,000k a year for the stoop of if they have James Cameron making their videos...the club is fast becoming a joke..........The latest gem is £20 for a coach to and from Orient.......I charged £15 return to BRIDGEND WALES in 2009, £20 to Wakefield...........another gem from the club that is being run so well.
A travel card for the day would set you back £7.50......what genuis decided a £20 coach was a good idea

It's what I did most of my career as well!! that was facts and successful results! we are never going to agree gutterfax, that is just life. I do not say it has to be East London, but I do feel our hands may be tied one day soon about the ground we use and any company would be looking and have future plans/ideas.
