Me too, I would hope that they do come to an agreement with James as he is too good a player to let go without a fight.
Dixon signing was a surprise to me, Battye not quite so much, but his performance against Widnes showed his worth.

Think Battye has been outstanding the last few weeks. Dixon makes some horrible mistakes, but his speed is a real bonus, so pleased with both. Agree about JC, but also Sammut get them both signed.

Though the club seems to like this drip feed approach!

Over the season Dixon more than makes up for his mistakes with his tryscoring.
Battye has been immense for most of the season, especially the second half.
Maybe Cunningham and Sammut are waiting to see where we end up before deciding.

People were critical of the club for not signing players up but they have a plan in place to reduce the ridiculous spending year on year and have made players offers that were at least the same as this year. Some players thought they would be able to get more, either elsewhere or from the club, but the Broncos stood firm and have signed two good players for next year.

The days have gone when the club would spend £70,000 a year on a luxury player.

I would suggest that as the club becomes more self sufficient, continues to make the top 4 and actually challenge SL clubs in the qualifiers the strategy is working and the long term future is more secure than ever.

Dixon is a good championship player..... Mistakes yes but also that x factor...... But he's never a SL standard player..... Well not yet.....

Yet he has played in the Super league! Had his ups and downs, that Wembley appearance was not his best day out, but has also been MOM in more than one of his SL outings.
If K starts well then generally he is good, if he makes a mistake early on he obviously dwells on it.

I think they do. If we stay down some players might be offered a deal, if we go up we may look to bring in better replacements

Im not sure Cunningham is a SL hooker. Has he got the 'nip' from the ruck to compete at that level. Saints, Leeds, Warrington etc have really fast hookers (maybe not wigan). Only time will tell
