If that's the best we can do playing downhill I fear we will be exiting the cup early once again. In all my visits to the place, Batley always do well in the 2nd half downhill and there's no one better at getting an underdog team up for a shot in the 2nd half than John Kear, as much as I dislike him.

I'd imagine he means with only a 4 point deficit and playing down the slope inthe second half he feels as though Batley are in wioth more than a chance. Super League experience and fitness should pull you through but you never know, just look at Fev v Cas!

I think he means we now have to run up the hill - and Batley have the wind behind them to kick down the hill

Because we haven`t established a good lead to compensate for the fact we are having to run up a bloomin great muddy hill in the second half. As we tire Batley will likely have more chances than us to score....would have thought it was pretty obvious!!
