Only 20 minutes for me instead of an hour and twenty! I thought the Freddie Mercury impersonator in the Bulls shirt was magic!

Feel free to w$nk yourself into a frenzy celebrating a sub 3k gate...but don't expect many to join you.
Celebrating a sub 3k gate
1,409 down on last year
776 down on the aveage at the stoop since 2006
A ground that doesn't meet SL requirements
1,000+ down on the average for a Bradford game in the capital
Sorry, but I can't get excited about a 2,844 gate........especially as it comes 4 months after it was declared we were chasing 10k gates and commercial stability......how many corporate boxes were used at Brisbane Road on Sunday?

| Got to say really liked Matchroom Stadium...smashing view, smashing bars (some of the blokes made up with choice of real ale) very nice staff at the ground..helpful and friendly and generous with the portions of wine that came up (overly generous as I am paying for it today). Great seats...think it could be a really nice venue for us.
If we had good reasons to move from The Stoop (ie they don't want us or we can't afford the rent) then I think I'd be quite happy to watch my team at The O's. Would be good to have someone like Barry Hearn on board too.

| Venue was fine! seating good, but then i was in the posh seats
Short pitch though, not happy with that, no super league team should play on that length of pitch, strewth its the same as Hemel.
Stoop pitch much better
Access, well i chose to drive so my problem, dont like the idea of hr and half on tube, and thats after getting to a tube line from home first. But then those that come from the Medway area have same problem getting to the Stoop
But if we were to move somewhere like that and we could get closer to 100mtr pitch with min in goal area, and find the extra capacity to take it to min for SL franchise then hey ho, and get the support and backing of someone like Barry H then its a no brainer, Dave H can only keepn pouring money at us for so long
So Gillingham next, will be interesting to hear thoughts on that, as i will not be there

Whilst I agree the Matchroom Stadium was quite good I wouldn't get too excited about a possible link up with Barry Hearn. He is a business man and is not interested in chucking money down the drain as David Hughes has with us. He owns Leyton Orient and has made substantial losses on them. To cover these losses he sold ownership of the stadium to his own companies, on a 20 year lease. A homeless team that burns money probably won't be of any great interest to him.

I agree. He will not subsidise us. I guess if we went there it would be on a 'lease' basis. However if we say were able to get a share of the Olympic basketball stadium with him as a co owner then that would be better. I do wonder what the upkeep of the Olympic basketball stadium would be though.

Given this and past governments aptitude in dealing with the private sectors and the "sustainability" mantra, it would not surprise me that any hard nosed business will simply play hard ball with them until desperate they will come up with deals to assist anybody willing to in title take them off their hands, they will just run it and the upkeeps into the massive PPI debt and public service subsidies already in place. Dome anybody?
This current shower are already in so much strife, if in two years time they haven't offloaded all the venues with much ado about nothing in terms of what great deals they have done, it will just be one more nail in the coffins.

I thought the basketball stadium was being dismantled after the games. It is basically a flatpack construction.

| I just wanted to add to to all the negative stuff i did hear over the game etc at the mighty O's on Sunday,
FACT: LEYTON ORIENT ACTUALLY ADVERTISED THE GAME IN PROGRAMMES AND FLYERS FOR THREE CONSECTUTIVE GAMES, SOME PROGRAMMES EVEN CARRYING THREE ADVERTS, FULL PAGES & WEBSITE
FACT: POSTERS and flyers did appear locally at various local events over a months period
FACT: The local papers did cover the events and will also be putting reports in this weeks papers etc.
I am a local, it was marvellous to see this at Orient, being very close on the ground locally, the WHOLE event went down well, ALL WE DID WAS JUST SPREAD THE WORD, SIMPLE AS THAT
Advertising us to a new part of London is good, lets hope we get a few more of these, we are LONDON, lets have regular on the road games in LONDON, why not, i think everyone enjoyed the neutral territory yesterday,
Credit where credit is due, it did work yesterday, even a one off or more to come, bar result, it was a good day out, and thats was takes people in, they have to have a good day
its not about percentages and figure, they help, but its all about spreading the word and that was done in East London for one day, Time to move on, next on the road please
Come on people, move on

2nd Lowest gate in the history of Superleage for the visit of Bradford to the Capital.
Cornish Pirates v Bristol is the 2nd tier of Union.....but you think that somehow a 100% professional RL match getting LESS fans is a good thing BTW.......they are also 190 miles apart...hardly a local derby
I get it Orientwestsider....you like Orient. If the club move there, I have no doubt that you would be very happy, but I repeat....and S-L-O-W-L-Y for some of you out there with trouble handling it...
[u
[size=2002,844 is....THE SECOND LOWEST GATE EVER FOR THE VISIT OF THE BULLS TO LONDON[/size[/u
....A move anywhere needs to be done for quantifiable reasons......the bar at the Matchroom Stadium selling real ale isn't a quantifiable reason......

As I posted on the other thread where you also posted what was one of the most irrelevant stats in the world ever....
Nope...the point you were so badly trying to make was that in your opinion, the Orient attendance was acceptable.....the facts say otherwise. Your insane use of a 2nd division Rugby Union game to compare like for like was pointless, as in the 2nd division Rugby Union game was played in a town with 10% of the population of the Borough of Waltham Forest where the Rugby League game was played.
You refered to the Union game as a match between so called giants of the game of Union.......Bristol haven't won anything of note for 20 years and the Cornish Pirates even less. These 2 teams will meet again in the second leg on Sunday....any predictions of the attendance for that game Einstein?
Bristol currently average 5,351 for this season..........they are in the 2nd division of English Rugby Union and they are 53 people a game away from getting DOUBLE THE AVERAGE OF THE SUPERLEAGUE TEAM FROM LONDON!
Stats all the time eh......how else was I going to respond to your comments on the attendance of a 2nd tier RU game hundreds of miles away?
What you should of done was just not bothered posting at all.......let alone making the same mistake on 2 threads.

One of the reasons that a premiership was NOT at stake in this game is the fact the the Pirates ground at Mennaye Field is far too small. Not sure of exact capacity for this match as they have had temporary facilities but was probably not too far off full.

Just wish RLFans had an app as I knew once the bait had been put out you would respond and of course I expected something like " w$nk" do you never accept your opinion is not always right?
No no one gets excited about low gates figures especially the ones we are getting at the stoop were we are supposed to be settled?
I keep hearing about opinion on here, as I said to someone at the club, the opinion on this forum if everyone did agree, which they don't! is hardly 2% of season ticket holders! people on forums tend to have strong opinions and shout the loudest, but it does not make them always right including myself.
While I will voice my opinions again I said in discussion I will stand by the club whatever choice they make, not make threats not to go to games! I also said I wish I was more in the picture with everything that goes on in the capital, even though with the Broncos and West Ham I spend a lot of time here but living 250 miles away does not give me the complete picture (at least that is not thousands and thousands of miles), marketing has to be decided locally with someone who knows what is happening on the ground day in day out!
I will stand by Brisbane Road was a good exercise and had many positives, not lets see what Gillingham breaks. We need to do a lot of careful thinking about the Future with the continued calls for some chairmen again at the weekend to reduce Super League to 12 teams, more money for each club is the Truth not that it will be better competitive and not such large score lines, also now bring back relegation and promotion each season! then clubs with not sufficient funding and many not adequate grounds will start a yo-yo situation while the usual few clubs just keep themselves happy at the Top!

No no don't invite the glum fox to set out more stats and more doom and gloom. Think positive and see it for what is was, the second highest crowd this year! Enough has been said of what has not been done, size of crowds, or what should be done, time for dreaming of the future.

| I'll look at it with a postive aspect.
How many did Bulls bring?
How many season ticket holders do LBRLFC have?
From that we should be able to make a rough est of how many walk ups turned up
Not sure what if anything will come by any new people from around orient in making them trek over to TW2 in the next few months.

| Good following from Bradford, 300-400 I think. As has been echoed by other posters, the fact that some are viewing this attendance as a positive is utterly embarrassing and a sad reflection of where the club is going. Absolutely disgraceful crowd. Again. Complete waste of time and resources.
