Lewis was swept up mid season by Hull. Having put in a few good performances and drawn plaudits from the media. I am sure the club would have been happy for him to stay.
Macani on the hand, did not fit into Hendo three year plan and was let go.

These are two good experienced Championship playes (I would argue better than we had last year). For the first time in a long year, I am starting to see a glimmer of hope

2 players do not make a side, but both Lewis and Iliess Macani are proven at this level, and if I am honest much better than I thought we would be able to sign.

I think the jury remains out.

Iliess has been playing semi pro at Skolars so was always likely to fancy a step up, especially with Skolars funding seemingly bring slashed. If Lewis couldn't get / didn't want a full time gig and wanted to return south, Broncos were always favourites.

Don't get me wrong, I think both are decent signings with something to offer however I'm waiting to see the full squad before I judge whether my fears about player availability as a part time outfit were justified. We wont be able to fill a squad with ex SL players signed from Skolars and ex Broncos SL players returning south

I wondered if we might bring back a few ex players. I know some have signed new deals, but Everett, Thomas, Margin all crossed my mind.

As mentioned, expect a few Aussies. Maybe a couple of youngsters let go by SL sides from the academies, looking to get back on the horse.

Let's see who else gets announced but at least it is a step in the right direction.

Agreed. Two decent signings. Outnumbered by the amount of decent players leaving but sets a marker. Let’s see.

It's been a while since we've been a promising anything, but that might be a step too far.

So we are signing players who were playing in L1 last year, 2 of whom who were at bottom 3 sides?
