| All I can assume is that the club position is ' we don't respond to rumours'. Maybe they are at the Test match or are we the Marie Celeste of SL?

| If theyve allready said they will anounce it at the HKR game they can hardly bring it forward or they'll be critisized for being run in a shambolic way.

| From an on-field perspective we have had a terrible season or two.......we have just started to build some confidence and the team is improving......and with the down turn in fortune at HKR there is every chance we could nick another couple of points before the end of the season.
The club unfortunately decides to shoot themselves in the other foot by de-stablising the situation and not confirming one way or the other whether there is any truth in a Gillingham move. It is disruptive to both players and fans. If there is no truth in the story then what harm would it do to to make a statement. If they allow this situation to roll on I think it will likely be detrimental to the on-field performances.

| How quickly some jump to mock or pull others up! I was just going into a meeting and wanted to post something quickly, which was a mistake!
"Wire Quin "What I attempted to say is I will support the club unconditonal wherever they play next season! I think there are many of us who have stayed loyal from the start at Fulham and gone through many moves of grounds, with no little tantrums.
"Sarf Essex Taff" was I claiming I knew all the facts about the negotiations with our landlords, while you seemed to indicate from what you said you may? I am making no assumptions, other than why did negotions continue and then break down. Also sorry if saying I am disillusioned with rugby league and that is it something I never thought I would ever say, is talking about myself, is it the same then for those who say they will not support the club if we do move to Kent.

Is London Skolars chief executive Hector McNeil talking more sense when he says that the 5,000 capacity White Hart Lane Community Stadium should be purchased, he feels the council are looking to sell. Then be developed into a stadium and base for both clubs?
This may work as long as we are in different leagues but would it work if we ended up in the same league?

Well good for you. Clearly you are a proper fan and those of us who are appalled at this possible move are not. If you read back through the thread you will see that quite a few of the posters have said how long they have been supporting the club (also back from Fulham days) and have said that this is the final straw. To say that their reaction is no more than a fit of childish pique is patronising in the extreme.

I have stated clearly many times in the past I never liked Crystal Palace National Sports Centre, but it did not stop me driving there for home games. I never denied that there there are Many fans who have supported the club from the first Fulham game, but here on this forum we are only a very small minority of the clubs supporters, whatever our opinions! here we are not a real cross section, so I'm unsure why that is patronising, your first line seems a little petty, something I would never accuse anyone of, every supporter counts.

It is patronising to say to supporters from the earliest days who have supported the club through thick and thin that they are having a "little tantrum" if they wish to have nothing to do with a move to Kent.

Indeed, Twickenham isn't exactly an easy or quick journey for me, but Gillingham verges on the ludicrous. Add in the expense and all of a sudden Rugby becomes a very frivolous day out.

| I wouldnt want to willingly give up watching Broncos but finance and time would rule me out of seeing a game if they move to Gillingham. While most of us think this is bad for us and will prevent our support in future spare a thought for the young lads who have started playing league and showed great promise. A move to Gillingham could be the end for them - could they or their families afford the time and money to run backwards and forwards to Gillingham to play or train. SOme are only 14 years old and depend on their parents availablity. Even if training facilities are kept in the Twickenham area they would still have to go there to play games and support the first team. FACT : Youngsters get paid a pittance by the club so how many could afford the expense of travel and if they are still studying how many could afford the time, a lot of the great development work done could be written off in an instance.

An open question what happens when DH runs out of money and we are still at the Stoop with no financial backers coming in to bail us out? Maybe there is a viable alternative plan to secure the future of SL in the south and until the club makes a firm announcement it is only a rumour.'"
People seem to be confusing the issue of financial backing with location. We will be screwed when DH calls it a day wherever we are playing. Do you really think a move to Gillingham would be associated with new funding or would even save that much money. BTW, if we move to Gillingham I will not be renewing my season ticket.

I agree we are probably not a good cross section of the support but represent a reasonable sample of the more hardcore supporters. They are arguably the most likely to support the club wherever they play. If these folks are saying they won't go to Gillingham they the club better be prepared to build up from pretty low levels of support. That will involve spending money on marketing. Not something they historically been prepared to do.

| Forum members usually make up at least 75% of those supporters who follow the club home and away in my experience. But hey, I guess that is mostly down to their strange obsession with The Stoop rather than genuinely caring about the club and its interests.

| At least all of the in the know season ticket holders in the North West are sympathetic towards these farcical plans.
I have never known this forum to be in such unified agreement over a topic and that speaks volumes.

That takes the biscuit!
Start an Amateur RL Club "We Love The Stoop" and I'm sure between you the monies asked for by the landlords will be affordable for rent

| It surely can't happen, whoever is even considering this needs a geography lesson about what counts as London, or Greater London and what counts as Kent.
Could be in the Skolars benefit though, as I would watch them rather than a Gillingham based club and I reckon a few would join me
If skolars Continue their great work.
Can't wait for the club to deny this, then I can carry on enjoying how good Friday night was

I don't think the best move is to Kent, but only Listy could come out with a comment like that, so it deserves a similar response! If only we could wait to see what the club says.

What part of my comment amuses you the most? Please note that I do not consider myself in that bracket - I tend to value their opinions higher than those who attend odd games here and there - what is wrong with that?
I would actually suggest that this forum is an unfair representation of our supporter base as people on here care far too much about what is going on.
Your bluster is embarrassing.

| Embarrassing, shambolic and shocking decision but this is London/Fulham Bronco Crusader Quins, did you expect a sensible decision? Come off it.
Despite my preference of playing East London, the move to Gillingham is ridiculous. Firstly, its not in London.
And secondly, what is the reason behind the Kent move other than the attendance for one game, that was backed by free tickets to one of the biggest (in terms of numbers) amateur clubs in the South of England. We'd probably be looking at a move to Leyton if the attendance in the on the road game there was higher than Gillingham. Has the club undertook any market research? I highly doubt it.
This is just another dent in the car crash that is Super League in London. I suggest everyone boycotts the move. Get to Skolars, London Rugby League...that's actually in London! Not only that but the chairman and board at Skolars actually have their heads screwed on and make sensible decisions. The club has a base, is looking at buying that base, have ties within the local community and don't change their name/home every 5 minutes.
2013, the year of the Skolar.
