Nope, it's because when the west stand is finished that wall will be indoors. The Rear extension of the west stand will mean there is a new rear wall closer to the tube line.

I think they're massively improved on the comms front.

They are still slow to reach decisions/take actions (re. the Hive deal/selling 2015 memberships!) but they do seem to want to keep us engaged in the off season rather than fall silent between October and January.

Plans are now in for an extension of the East stand for the completion of the Medical centre and a new ticket office.

New ticket office has been approved. Must admit I'm fed up of trying to work out when it will get built as there is now more approved but not built than there is built.

Work on a new North stand is about to begin, expected to be finished by end of July.

I was at the Hive at the weekend and no sign of the work starting which is a worry as it has to be completed by end of July for the new football season.
I'm guessing the lease change is taking longer than expected, hopefully with the elections over and the full council sworn in last night they will get their act together.

Edit:
New stand delayed by a new planning application to put in a stand identical to the west stand instead of what was already approved. Earliest start is now end of June.

1. How long to build the new North stand?
2. What will the capacity be once the stand is built?
3. What are the timeframes to have the other two stands built?
4. When are Barnet scheduled to move out?
5. Any other news?

1. Based on construction time of the West stand they can have it built in 4-6 weeks with the internals being worked on for a further 4-6 weeks.
2. Capacity 6500. Still limited to 5100 unless given special dispensation for one off games.
3. No timescales, owner has previously said providing a decent roof for the posh seats is a priority.
4. They aren't. The lease change gives ten years but if no site can be secured then it will be longer. That the Tory council who forced the move out have stayed in power in Barnet suggests this could be longer than hoped.
5. Hmm.. the bit I was avoiding I guess - the lengthening of the pitch for rugby has been shelved.

Is it true that the broncos have had a gym built and are having offices built?

If they have then it's not at the Hive. If\when Broncos decide to move admin and training then we can expect to see a planning application for a rear extension to the North stand to provide space for them. So far this hasn't happened and I've heard nothing recently to suggest it's happening in the short term.

Correct. It's all located at Bushey Sports Club in Hertfordshire including a pitch with the exact do mentions of that at The Hive.

So every few years we up sticks leave behind our infrastructure and rebuild it somewhere else. Broncos make Sep Blatter look competent FFS

Freakin hell why cant we just find a place and settle down and build our future... I know its not much but ill donate £50 to help build, find or buy a permant ground. Free from football and union b.s.
