Skolars built up a big lead but the Broncos Under 21's came back well.

Enjoyable game. The new merchandise worn by the squad looks very good.

Yeh the north London origin kit from 2 years ago looked really good on our u20s on the pitch.

Good to see rugby again but there wasn't much in the way of defence from either side as the score suggests, most of our tries were under the posts, most of Skolars were on the wings, I think they out scored us 8 tries to 7 or something but missed a few of their conversions

I meant the back room staff kit. it looked very good. State of origin was well sky blue on the pitch

Anyone stand out for us?

Neil Thorman of Skolars highlighted Sam Bolger as our best player

A big prop called Thomas (I think) made alot of yards. Could do with someone like him at Skolars. Goal kicker; kick well (and kicked it hard) but as someone else earlier said they were mostly from central positions. Good day out.

Rob Thomas was good at making metres but his defending let him down. Young kid called Oscar had some good moves to get through the defence. Thinking about it it is only first game of pre season for both teams so it was decent from both sides.
Skolars look to have improve their handling a lot from when I saw them last year

Still expect broncos to beat them heavily at the HAC though

Any ideas as to who played for both sides?

Dave Williams was not on the pitch, but he was pitching into the players food afterwards. Plot to build him up?

He could do with filling out, though I guess they've been trying to do that for years.

Perhaps the Hull club could suggest something?

Austen Aggrey was looking a bit pale, needs a bit of sun.

Stevo bingo rules will come into play, big old unit, nippy little half, speedy winger, tough second rower...........Wiggy will just witter on mispronouncing the surname to sound like a cross between a ballet composer and a roadside cafe.

The Skolars were without 4 or 5 senior players Adebisi, Aggrey etc so it was quite a youthful occasion all round. great to see so much London developed youth. Rob and Oscar Thomas both showed up well. Lamont Bryan was playing the 'old hand' !

I was disappointed not to see the new kit, and was confused when all the players had NORTH on theirs shirts. The I realised the Stoop is north of the river!

IIRC, Rob Thomas has been at the club for 4 years+. I recall him getting a run out at the first Capital Challenge....is he ever going to make the grade?

If he cant defend - probably not. Would have thought they would have discovered this by now though.
