I agree that Clubb may have more potential as an attacking second-row, but I disagree that he has a lack of pace for a centre, he's plenty quick enough for centre. The problem he has as a second-row is that BM seems to have a thing for grafting second-row forwards with limited attacking potential.

I want my centres to do more than just keep the oppo quiet.

I think it is less of a rumour and more that the chairman told one of our supporters this is the case.

Brian has mentioned in an interview we're bringing 2x props and an outside back. We know one of the props is Wilkes and the other is likely to be Matt James from Bradford.

It's fairly obvious we won't be any stronger next season.

We can always pray that other sides fall back even further than us? Wakey, Salford, Bradford...

Sadly both Wakefield and Bradford have some proven, solid NRL players already signed and Salford have just received a big cash windfall from the Myler sale.

Is Wilkes a second rower or prop from what I can see he is a second rower, if he is down to be one of our replacement props then we will have serious issues up front next year.

Don't forget McDermott is an obsessive collector of 2nd rows. If he gets offered one that is surplus to requirements elsewhere he's compelled to snap them up.

I'd thought that we'd probably use him as a prop which is what Wakey did, though I didn't realise that he'd reverted to second row later in the season. Wakey got Korkidas back part-way through the season, probably the main reason.

Wakey were short of second rowers and that is why he moved to that position as there is only himself and one other who can play both.

He was offered a 3 year deal at Wakey and turned it down for Quins.
