| On the plus side ( and this is probably for me alone) it’s going to be a hell of a lot easier for me to get to than Wimbledon.
Even easier than when we played a couple of games at Gillingham.

Every cloud. Mind I don’t think people who live in Wimbledon or Ealing will find it that handy. For me looks like train/tube into Kings Cross then out again on the train. 1hour/ 1 hour 20. Sigh.

| Ebbsfleet is great when to 2 French clubs come over on Eurostar. What? They're both in Super League, well that's another plan fallen through.

IIRC they hardly turned up in numbers when they got to Wembley a few years back so suspect this won’t be such a problem. Now the thousands of new SW London Broncos fans we’ve accrued via our aggressive marketing of this season that may be a problem!

| Given this has clearly been brewing for ages, Broncos should have had the courtesy to warn Sheffield fans not to book cheap train tickets as the venue was uncertain. It doesn't matter whether it's one fan or ten thousand. It's not like it's never happened to Broncos own fans is it ...

It is not like over the years, London fans have been messed about with game times, dates or venues being changed.
Sheffield did it to us about a month ago. Oh the irony !

I've not had an email from the club since Feb 11th....a week after the 1st (and to date only) [size=200 [uMONTHLY[/u[/size Q&A with Mustard.
The Obvious choice for this game "on the road" would have been Ealing Trailfinders which is 30 minutes away, but nope, let's drag the few regulars we have left across town on a 1 hr car trip or a 100 minute public transport journey from the Cherry Red There's a very good chance that Bridges with Ealing have been torched a la The Hive and Harlequins before them.......
Utter contempt and disregard towards the existing fan base and they're not even apologetic about it. The NEW landlords have kicked us off the park for 8 weeks and 2 days which is 26% of the regular season........TWENTY SIX F()(KING PERCENT!
Who negotiates these deals? A child? Surely not a businessman with a sound grasp of reality?
The harsh reality is that this move has been an even bigger disaster than any of the dozen or so whiners on the internet knew it would be.
Discounted kids tickets offered after game 1, along with cut price "mates rates". The discounts across the board after game 2. A lucky draw and a win against a relegation contender sees us in a relegation spot after 11 games and we have an average gate that is guesswork because they were too embarrassed to announce the gates for Dewsbury or Bradford. Even the 940 claimed on Friday is dubious given fewer than 550 had been sold by Thursday night, but if they're happy to announce 940 but not those other 2 games, you have to ask how much below 900 were they? 980 was the average at Ealing last full championship season, so we've gained nothing except possibly 400 curious locals on Freebies last Friday?
Hughes has to go.
If the club can't survive without him then it doesn't deserve to.

| In terms of building up a local fan base to make up for those lost on the way the following seem important to note:
No home games for 2 months. ( very difficult to see how this would work out as a good option in terms of crowd building or Championship survival during crucial 1st season in new ground)
Only one home game - a Friday nighter where our pants were pulled down during the very small window when we might be the only game in town.
No presence at the family day.
Only 6 more home games, 2 of which will be humiliating spankings at the hands of Rovers and Leigh respectively.
Halifax and Batley are likely to make difficult viewing as well as they chase playoffs.
I think our one chance to make a good impression has gone. Pretty sure we didnt get many/any of the big decisions right. We really have to learn from this- if we survive.

| But as Orange often points out BT, the Broncos never learn which is why we are where we are.
If they had adopted even 30% of the suggestions made on this forum by us, the club would be in a better position & lord knows we don't have all the answers just more that Hughes & his tame Lobster.

Hope the first doesn't happen, Big Time, and will say no more.
Funny old game, RL...and RLFans is stranger still: Leigh got a fantastic result uphill and down dale tonight and there's virtually no activity on our forum. Meanwhile another slap in the face for Broncos' fans sees a thread spinning out as fast as if from a fishing reel.
Really hope you survive (and get shut of undesirables) and not only for the selfish reason that Bongser wants something to read late at night.

| Jason Loubser - It’s always been our ambition to grow Rugby League across the region, and we hope our plans to host a one-off match each season in Kent can accelerate us fulfilling this objective.
I have never heard such b/s in all my time supporting this club.
I'd love to see the fag packet these objectives are written on.

| Lobster hasn't managed to grow it anywhere currently so not sure why he might think a game in Kent has any value. Lobsters are considered quite intelligent creatures, this one clearly is not.

The fag packet is with the other empty fag packet with the heading “ reasons why moving grounds is a smart thing to do at exactly the same time as going part time”. Possibly both under a big pile of team sheets for the Newcastle game they never got round to handing out!

Just worked out that the guy in question is Damian Irvine. He has a decent RL admin pedigree and used to turn up on Rugby League BackChat quite a bit and made a lot of sense. He also did the commentary for one of our Our League games last season and although he struggled with the team sheet he made a decent stab at commentating and was insightful. Long story short, whilst this actual game makes no sense whatsoever, getting links with him might play out well in the long run as I think he knows what’s what and wouldn’t make the kind of crass mistakes we have been making recently.

There's a few of us that have (not many obviously) although it's not really an issue, most Eagles fans would be arriving at St Pancras or Kings Cross anyway, so it's quicker to Northfleet than Wimbledon from there anyway.
However, if you're staying over, and you've booked a non refundable hotel somewhere near SW London...

| If you want to pay the high speed supplement it's about 20 minutes from St Pancras to Ebbsfleet International. It looks like parking at Ebbsfleet station is about £7.00 - slightly cheaper if booked in advance
