We can't lose this game. There's 2 sides in their league that could maybe compete with us a bit. Batley aren't one of them. Fev played like the club whippet's life depended on a win, and still lost fairly comfortably in the end.

I enjoyed today immensely. A great performance from ourselves against a full-time outfit with some big names. Craig Gower was absolutely magnificent for London IMO. It'd be easy for an ageing former international to take it easy and pick up his (no doubt) considerable pay cheque, but he really put his hand up for you guys today and dragged you over the winning line with his class. Glad I got chance to see him play.

Gower has been a class apart for us. And, as you say, he works like h*ll. Hope you sang Happy Birthday for him (34 today).

If he doesn't sign a new contract with you guys, I wouldn't be at all surprised if he made a return to the NRL at the veteran stage or signed for one of the bigger SL outfits. He seems to be a player that has attracted a lot of criticism despite his achievements at the top level of the sport, but its clear he's got fantastic ability.
