I'm only a Trust member, not on the committee or anything. The Trust has a few roles - it sponsors the Academy, it raises funds for Broncos-linked charity events, it established and maintains a player database, and hosts events, etc. It would like to have a more formal relationship with the club, but the Broncos keep it very much at arms length - although it is happy to accept money from the trust. It still exists, and will probably be around as long as the club is.

The OSG provides the club with a fig leaf to say it is listening to fans, so it can continue to ignore the Trust.

That's a step up from recent months, where they've mostly been promoting the commercial manager's private company.

The Trust have also done a lot of work on the clubs heritage. Something the club are now showing now showing some interest in.

Not the only place you can get banned from accorrding to certain supporters of the club.

Hopefully BOSG will take up the issue of fans being blocked / posts deleted by Broncos.

I didn't see any of the posts and the Broncos may have a reasonable explanation however: it needs raising to verify that is the case.

The RFL are placing a lot of weight on social media following, arguably too much. It was one of the SL application criteria when Leigh went up from memory.

Any policy that may drive people away from Broncos social media needs careful thought and implementation. BOSG will be doing the club a favour if they verify this is the case.

That very true ... most people who post on here not thought of very highly .. to say the least

I believe that the Louisiana State Bar Associations membership, has remained constant despite the London Broncos starting their Official Supporters group.

It would be a dull world NB if we were all as self serving as you in accepting everything the club does. These sites wouldn't exist.

Ok if the LBSA membership has not been effected in anyway by the introduction of a club run supporters club, whats the problem? If it gets more folk communicating and interested in the club is that not good? Those that joined the supporters club obviously had not previously joined the LBSA chose not to for a reason or are members of both

The folk who chose to join the supporters club, are no different than you, they are just passionate supporters of the club who choose to do there bit for the club there way.

NB you won't drag me in to the apologist group. I'm certainly not a key board warrior and distance myself from the 'No1 supporters'.

Indirectly they are part of the grassroots problem. It's difficult at times to introduce 'new supporters', let's leave it at that.

In the Stoop days a few of us from a London non League football club watched Quins RL. One summer we brought a big group of first timers. At half time we were talking among ourselves about another fan who had taken up officiating and was expected to get the following years FA Cup Final. (He didn't but is a regular at the Euros and World Cup.) A well known Broncos fan turned round, started shouting who cares about Wendyball, football puffs etc.

Strangely none of the first timers ever came back.

Half you are exactly right. Fans abusing Saints chairman to his face, same one using repulsive language generally, it goes on and on.....As Ive said a small following gives them some form of identity. If they followed Wigan for example they would be one of 15000 so just another fan.
To make it worse we've now given them a platform to represent the club to the leadership. Frightening.

nion fans. I wonder how many union fans never came back after warching their first league game because of the insults.

I used to see the odd few wearing Ealing RU colours/ logos at Trailfinders , but I suppose they would have been more easily seen. At the Stoop RU and most RL fans would all have been wearing the same colours.

We used to sit with a bunch of Quins RU fans at The Stoop, but they failed to follow the Broncos to The Hive.
I did see one at Perpignan at a Catalan away game. He had family who lived locally and he had timed a visit to catch our game.
When we had that game where a Quins game was followed by a Quins RL game. How many Union fans stayed to watch. Not many I recall.

Quite a few first half, not many second half. We lost 82-0 from memory?. I used to sit between two Quins RU fans at RL. One vanished at Barnet,. Sureyben who used to post here. The other remains an occasional visitor. Whilst mainly an RU man he used to volunteer with Broncos / Quins academy and had a cracking story about LMS as a junior.
