Thoughts on how it will unravel, upsets, £M game etc

Wire and Catalan will be fine, reckon KR could run Widnes and/or Leigh close hard to call. If any of the SL teams take us for granted we could cause an upset, but I doubt we will beat KR so will not cause any major issues.
For me it will finish Wire, Catalans, Leigh, KR, Widnes, us. 7 and 8 dunno.
If KR can get 4th home advantage in 4/5 game will count for a lot.

That seems a fair summary NB. It would be great to take a scalp like the reds last year but for me we need to avoid the big defeats and be competitive in each game.

Agree with you partly wire q, but Making sure we beat our championship opposition is the priority, and targeting the home SL game as the one to try and win, the other games, will be what they will be.

The heavy defeat against Hull KR cost us dearly in the Middle 8s last year.

Having just watched Widnes against Warrington. I think if we get Widnes early in the series. We might have a chance to beat them. They are depleted due to injuries. They have players coming back so to my mind we could do with them in the first round and catch them cold. Also we will have home advantage.
What a boost to our confidence that would be.
I think Warrington are going to be a lot stiffer test though.

We gave Leigh a run for their money last year. We were dominant at the end of the game and scoring with virtually every set. We just ran out of time.

Last day to sign players. London are done with the Wire back rower. HKR still looking, Fax getting no DR players from Reds so may strengthen. Wides linked with players.

So today we find out who makes fourth place. Toulouse have to beat Featherstone, failing to do so means Halifax are in the mix.

And they did! So HKR to beat Fax and Toulouse in middle 8's

So we will have wire Leigh Toulouse and fev at home. We have Widnes on there plastic pitch.
As long as we take first points against Leigh they are beatable, I would say the same with wire

Halifax know what they have to do. Against Hull KR it will be difficult though.

Fax are the form team, they've beaten HKR, TO and Fev in the last 4 weeks. Don't write them off

I am going to predict, that on Wednesday we get Catalan away on the first weekend. That is Saturday 5th August.
My theory is the RFL will make the assumption that the London away support is insignificant and therefore stick them in early and at short notice. They do not matter. They have done it before at short notice. The moved the game from Saturday to Sunday for TV a few years ago. Upset a few that did!
I have just looked at Ryanair and to fly out early Saturday and back Sunday afternoon is currently £111 for the round trip. That is from Stansted.

Would Fev and Fax take a larger support do you think?

Someone has to go there first! Why not us? Arguably we have easier transport options to get out there, more airports, Eurostar all on our doorstep.

So fev and fax down at our place, our performance on Sunday was an improvement on the last couple of home games, we were pretty solid in defence, so two games we should win. Leigh defence record is pretty good, they have shipped 190 points so not going to be easy to breakdown, think we are going to need some magic on the fringes.
KR away is the key, can see the rfl leaving that game till late on.
For me let's have fax fev and Widnes as first 3 in whatever order secure at least 4 points, if we beat or run Widnes close then Leigh and KR will start to worry about us
