| For all the general whinging and moaning WE have the chance to boost the crowd this weekend. I don't know if you have had the following email but I guess many of us on this forum are season ticket holders and if the club has your email you should have had it. If not here it is.
"Season Ticket Holders - Bring 2 Friends For Free to This Saturday’s Hull FC Game
With just 2 home games left this season, we want to give the team as much support as possible. As a season ticket holder, we appreciate the support you have given us this year and would like to offer you the chance to bring 2 friends to the game for free.
To redeem this fantastic opportunity and claim your 2 unreserved tickets, use your “Special Offer 5” voucher located in the back of your Season Ticket booklet. Take this voucher to Turnstile 11 located at Gate 3, or to the Ticket Office, on Saturday."
So if 1000 ST holders bring 2 extra people we may be able to post a good crowd and not have the usual NZ rant. If we don't then we can't complain. Anyone not taking it up PM me cos I may be able to use some extras.

| So many of us do not seem to be on The Club's official mailing list, what is wrong? other than the weekly email newsletter I have not received anything for many years and I have followed and backed the club since the first game at Fulham. One time we would get printed information through the post and be kept updated about the club!

| I get the ezine twice
An email like this should be sent to everyone and not just the STH as it informs occasional attendees of a game, shows them there could be a good crowd and could encourage them to take up a STH for such offers.
Either way it hurts nobody, costs nothing and informs.

| Me and the other half got our e-mails, as did our mates.
As Jaybs says, we used to get stuff through the post and now the club seem to be totally reliant on the internet and e-mails (sign of the times, I guess).
Problem is, loads of fans don't read the internet and haven't got a clue whats going on (4 people I sit with don't read any of the RL websites and rely on the other 4 of us to "fill 'em in"icon_wink.gif.

The internet is great for targeting a certain amount of people but times change and what was relevant last week is considered old school today. For example....13% of the worlds population are now on facebook....but believe it or not, 80% of Gen Y users (16-24yrs old) dislike being marketed to on social media..........this shows that as social media grew, marketers were slow to react and by the time they reacted, it's old hat. Another interesting stat to come out recently is that 80% of people find SMS marketing/information annoying so it looks like mobile is dead as a marketing channel before it even got started (just don't tel our MASSIVE shirt sponsor
Message to PP......Buddy, you couldn't expect me not to have a pop......it's a lame attempt by the club at the wrong end of the season. If you are going to try to entice people in the long term......the start of the season is when you do it. I would target game 1 next year NOW! with tie ins with Bovril, a pie company, mulled wine on sale in the bar etc etc......plan it NOW......not after x-mas. Still, this is only my opinion............

That's a fair call - if they had any sense of organisation next years' strips would already be sorted and on order.How much would it cost to have half a dozen london cabs have advertisment skins roaming around the capital. I know wasps did this a few years back when they had their stint at Loftus Road.
