People seemed to be very polite after the game yesterday ? I thought McDermott might get some stick. David Hughes didn't seem to want to speak on the pitch. Did he do so in the bar later ? He must have been embarrased by what he saw.

I spoke to him- he said the players minds and bodies weren't there- No reasons given.

Seemed to suggest that momentum went Cas way due to Refs decisions- I couldn't work it out. For me momentum swung Cas way in the second half from the KO, when Louis dropped the simple pass that every amateur club executes 5 times per game minimum without problems

I can see McNamara, Noble and possibly Dixon and Potter being out of jobs this winter and McNamara probably wouldn't relocate, Noble will want sky high wages, Harold Shipman has proved his worth in Super League and Potter might just go back to Aus.

My choice would be Terry Matterson but I can't see him coming because he has built a good team at Cas, they just need a good ground now and then they'll start to take off.

Easy to say if you don't watch us. It's not the losses I think most people are unhappy with, it is has been the nature of the defeats.

I stayed on after the game and listerned to the dull monotone apology from MacD, it is no wonder the team play a dull un inspiring brand of rugby if that is all there "leader" can muster.

He has churned out variations of the same 19ish players through a long run of bad performances, is no one in the reserves either deserving or talented enough of a run of games? What do we have to loose?

They cant be worse than that on shown on Sunday.

Fair enough. It must be frustrating for you lads when yous always beging the season pretty well for the first four months then filter away. Is it down to injuries? Is it because Brian wants to starts the season with a bang and the players run out of energy?

TBH, the players look knackered after about July every year since Bmac took over. Maybe he pushes them too hard in training. I would have thought that fitness is something that you work on pre-season and then it should look after itself throughout the season with matches every week.
The players have also looked totally disinterested over the last few weeks..........but some on here will continue to be doubting thomas's and ask for proof of a rift before they will believe it.
Simply put, Salford and wakey are the only games we have even been close to winning since June.......everyone else has handed us our 'rses

The last 10 games we have shipped 336 points and scored 150....
Thats a points differential of 2.24..........celtic, who have been cack all year are only running 2.5

Seriously though, we have been the worst team over the last 10 weeks and "momentum" is what Mac has put it down to. Well, as much as I manipulate stats to suit my stance, that is just b0ll0x!

There's a way to find out.

Go and talk to Billy Peden. Ask him what transitions happen from pre-season through to the weekly training programmes throughout the season if any. See if he'll even give you a copy of the daily schedules from say January and one in July. Come back and post your findings. Thanks in advance.

I gather that Dean Richards might be available, and he had a decent record in t'other code. Plus he's familiar with Quins and by all accounts makes Mac look like a pussycat...
