The memory cheats but in our last season as a full time team we announced squad numbers on New Years Eve, over the course of a couple of hours and announced a number of new signings. Those days have gone.
This season we appear to have recruited decent quality but not in volume. The amount that have gone through the exit door though is a huge number which pretty much tells you how successful the brave new dawn was. This year we really do need to make progress. Let’s see how it goes. I’m confident we won’t have to put up with the nonsense we saw against Widnes and Haven last year but you never know.

The starting 17 look ok but if we don't play the loan system well when injuries strike, I fear we may still have a few grim weeks again this season.

As far as we know every player is in the final year of their two-year contract, on a one-year contract or on a short term loan. Maybe the new Academy graduates get longer contracts but I assume not.

So technically come the end of the season, every player will be out of contract.

And Hughes will as usual leave it far too late......unless he has investors lined up, but needs IMG to assure them of SL status and no relegation.....which won't sit well with our northern cousins.

IIRC this was the approach we took in 2021. We vastly underachieved and lost significantly more than we should replacing them with L1 product with the inevitable outcome. My guts tell ,e it wasn’t a great tactic....but who knows.
Glad we have the two Wigan boys in, bit concerning we are in short term loan territory from week one. Mid season after a few knocks is really when that approach should kick in but makes us more competitive. Big game against Haven this is...already.

Loose against haven and alarm.bells will be going off......or should be.
If IMG to lift the broncos back into SL then that's it for me.....as a sport, a strong capital presence is needed, but to reward Hughes for the utter farce he has turned the club into wouldn't sit well with me....I'd rather they started from scratch with an argyle type shyster rather then allow Hughes to just fccck it up again

If IMG want to put London in SL that's fine but it has to be without Hughes involvement.

Someone asked the question of when Waine was available on the Twitter match feed yesterday and got a 'Soon'! response. The club really isn't helping to engender a positive spirit amongst the fan base

Next home league match is Swinton. Lose this and I really fear for us. Also I assume our great and glorious leader will be extremely unhappy if we lose at home to Swinton.

Especially if we've had a loss at Newcastle next week

I'm just grateful my weekends are spent at a Care Home as no matter how depressing that can be, it is nowhere near as bad as watching the shambles Broncos have become.
