It's being flagged on the other forum there's a half page advert in the London edition of Metro today. It's plugging the Widnes game and uses a QR code. Perhaps strangely they didn't pose an image using the new kit colours so it has London in black but that's a pretty minor quibble.

The penny has finally dropped. Here's hoping it's not too late. It's a shame it ran under work from home rules but that's not the club's fault to be fair.

That sounds good. It’s unfortunate that the work from home guidance probably means the Metro’s reach is reduced but it’s the right way to go.

Still good coverage as the metro gets dumped on London Buses. Sadly its one of the reasons the buses are full of rubbish.

One positive about this move is the stadium name. Takes me back to buying Pillows & Prayers in the early 80's. However, I doubt this was a factor in DH's decision.

If it's the start of a campaign, then fine, but a few grand on a stand alone chip wrapper is neither here nor there.
Direct marketing is what is needed. Hitting every household within 5 sq miles of the stadium, calling every company in reach, knocking on doors, the side if busses, local radio.....above the line stuff like metro is great, but it smacks of amateurism in my eyes unless it's the first of an 8 week campaign....
I'd have spent that money on targeting lapsed fans....but hey ho ...as monkey says, I'm full of ideas for a job I didn't get (even though I never applied for it)


My gut feeling is we might see 2k at the widnes game and 400 at the last game........I hope I'm wrong, but I'm not often far out when tt comes the Brincos

Reduced price tickets available for Widnes today only. A sensible move to try and get disengaged fans back to try out the new set up, if properly promoted.

Maybe signing some decent players would help.

Can't see info on any offer because this is how the club treats people who had held season tickets for 20+ years but don't happen to like how it is currently run. Absolutely pathetic.

Sorry to hear that J. it may not be optimal but go to LB website top right on banner -‘ tickets’ go right to bottom of page and click on general admission link. click on the Widnes game for adults and the ticket is £12.

All it needed to get blocked was to tweet that the new shiirt was 'One for the Wire fans'.

I have to say that for the club to block long term fans from any of the social media is very wrong and harmful to the club.
People may post things that the club do not like. They may say things which some members of staff find personally upsetting. However they need to rise up above these and work hard to get these people onside.
They are supposed to be building the clubs fan base, not bullying it.
If I was a curious Wimbledon thinking of coming to a game, to see what the Broncos are all about. With a bit of internet research, I might stumble on this forum, What sort of an impression do you think they would draw from reading that the club blocks some of its own fans on SM ?

Reading some of the posts, they would leave immediately, never mind anything the club may or not do! I was banned from Saints forum, my home town, for following London Broncos? their loss lol

I've been blocked for a while. They've achieved what they wanted with there cancel culture as I'm done with the club after 20+ years of being season ticket(s) holders.Not forgetting the people I bring along to the games.
