| Could we be there only opponents this season?
No hint yet from Bozza when travel quarentine could end, could scupper the season for them unless they move lock stock over the channel.

| Jaybs not sure what yoi mean? Level playing field? If the demand is for everythibg to be equal then we should only be allowed a part time aquad.

Perhaps so, but one club only being told to travel to France, and then isolate, just seems a strange set up, but it's The RFL As I stated I'm surprised only one team is remaining fully professional, though it does not seem to help us with recruitment like some others clubs have.

| I cannot see this game happening. The Covid situation in France gets more dire each day. The way the infection is going The Toulouse area may join the North of France in Lockdown by Mid April.
At the moment all but essential travel to France is prohibited and although there is time the writing is on the wall for cancellation.
The decision needs to be made sooner rather than later to call it off.
The ball is in the RFL's court.

| It would be fairer anyway, why should we just because we are the only team professional have had to travel? clubs semi pro travelled to Toronto in the Championship! Still trying to come around from the boring Sky coverage last night, did not get into either game, was reading this morning how referees are cutting back on penalties? if a team does wrong they should be penalised. If I hear the Saints fans sfx again it will send me crazy.

| Obvious difference for the semi pro teams is the quarntine issue, so travel to toronto to play previously not quite the same..
The six again rule is the attempt to cut back on penalties, other offences nothing has changed, still get penalised if you offend, there were a few offsides last night, which is different to NRL rules.
6 again should only be given if it would previously have been a penalty.
Sky coverage aside, thought 2 pretty decent games of rugby league considering it was first game in such a long time.

| Some might not like some of the new rules but its the closest the game has been to having same rules north and southern hemisphere. Its a crazy situation in a sport where you have 3 different rule books

| So who would you put the blame on? RFL? NRL RL int fed?
Reality is international game historically had been closer to the RFL law book than NRL.
Changes lately have been driven by the Aus game though.
Personally i dont like the restart positioning rule, scrum/restart where offence is or on 20mtr in my mind better. Interstingly aus pundits were not happy with ptb restart after ball going in touch.
6 again rule has changed the speed and dynamic of the game.
But hey it is what it is

| I am not actually disagreeing with you, it is crazy that you have 2 domestic leagues playing different rules and then a different set for international games. But why is that fault of the RFL if thats whats being suggested.

| Changes to the rules has been a part of the game ever since i have been watching it, some good, some bad. Without it we would still be in unlimited tackle territory and 3 points for a try, so its not all bad

Don't think anyone specified the RFL but unless its been wound up on the quiet, I thought the International Rugby League was the world governing body. So in this instance, those pillocks.

| So IRLF set the international rules, err those pillocks as you call them are between a rock and a hard place. Whos rules should they follow. RFL do one thing NRL do another! Rule changes differ each year depending on hemisphere. 1 or 2 referees being a classic.
There is no world governing body that sets the laws of the game for domestic leagues, only international games.
