I watched the U-20's play yesterday and the best player on the pitch was our Full-Back Kieran Dixon.
Scored 2 tries and could of had more.
Hope to see him get some 1st team action before the end of the season

The Under 18's were really pleased with their performance at Wigan RUFC ground, three Admirals young guys in the team, youth can and will pay off, it has taken a lot of time to get established but we are getting there and will see the results, Northern fans forget how long the game has been played in their towns, but they are starting to see a decline, not as many schools in the North now play rugby league and some amateur youth teams have disappeared and never been replaced. A town like St Helens would have up to 8 youth team now it is less than half as many.

Sweet....I've not seen him play, but I can't recall hearing one person have a negative thing to say about Dixon. So hopefully we've found our next superstar....length of the field efforts? Bring it on!!

Really? can you also tell us how many years RL was Not played in London!!!! has it not been played in the main Northern Rugby towns in that period, NO!

There is now more youth and school rugby in the South and London than many Northern heartland towns, that is the Real Development the last 30 years have made having a professional team and it has not been easy, we are starting to see results from this investment. Next we will have the big major investment in East London to get more youth playing RL, money from London sponsors and the Lord Mayor this is how we need to continue developing.

I can't speak for St Helens, but I can't think of a single secondary school in Wigan where the game isn't played. Surely for the good if the game it's better if it's played in many schools, both in the south and the north. A 'more kids play rugby league round my way' dick measuring contest serves no purpose whatsoever.

There are plenty of secondary schools in Wigan where they don't play RL, apparently.

All London needs is some great PR and a bit more exposure and we'll see even more talent coming through and they'll come through in to a more successful side.

I was in a pub in Barnet and popped my head in to see the TV turned off so thought i'd ask if i could have the rugby on, the Landlord didn't see why not seeing as no one else was watching. By the end of if it there were about 7 or 8 guys watching it.
Me obviously at the front and being a little vocal gave myself away as the one who put the game on and a couple of guys came and sat with at the end of the game, we had a good chat in which the jist was they were surprised how good the game was. Now if only we could offer this on a mass scale, that one game in which they actually watch it and i'm sure we'd become the No.2 game in the country (we'll never beat football).

I love seeing the London guys coming through, Sarginson for one looks the type of player that will probably be able to walk in to any SL side, very impressed with this guy.

With more stars coming through like this lad Dixon who is being raved over (granted not seen it myself) it justifies the confidence the RFL put in to London.

the real annoying thing about good young players with London, they get fed up playing for such a dross team they end up getting picked off by the bigger northern teams. never gonna change, how long have we been trying to get people through the doors

we secured dixon and sarginson for a few years, then like louie will be off and who can blame them looking for some success and recognition.

all we are is an academy and points difference accumalator for rest of league.

until we can establish oursleves as regular top 8, nothing is gonna change and frankly i am highly hacked off at the debacle we watch week in week out.

how can Mr Hughes sit there putting all that money in and watch it. i be ashamed if i were a player, knowing he pays their wages out of his own pocket and they serve that up to him.

Great news on Kieran Dixon, Tony clubb rates him too, let's stick him and caro in for the last few games. It really can't be worse than what we put out at the moment and I'd rather watch a youth team playing super league opposition than some of the players who have been regulars all year.

I can't see why not. I would love to see them both, they have to start somewhere and on the basis of Sargy, they will improve the side!
