Cant help but thinking that Quins desperatley need a name change if they are ever going to pull in decent attendances.

Having the Quins name must surely bring confusion especially to young kids or the general public who are unfamiliar with RL and surely must only help the stronger RU Quins brand to gain further publicity.

Could you imagine how confusing Leeds Rhinos RU would be. They would never do it because it would be plain stupid.

Quins need their own identity and brand.

You clearly have too much time on your hands or your boss is out today!!

It's not your own identity though when the majority of the public perceive you to be something different. The name change will happen sooner or later, there seems to be a general consensus building towards it.

London Harlequins Rugby League. Simples

That is what Catalan used to have on their match day programme and marketing material

But the global strength of the brand is one of the major reasons that we adopted it.

So goes the conventional wisdom anyway, though I've never been converted to it.

However, you need to demonstrate that it doesn't work before you try to persuade us to change it. Not that it's in our power as supporters anyway.

Let`s buck the animal trend (no pun intended) with `London Blitz`......at least it will resonate with Londoners and the journalists will lap it up for the easy headline.

If people thought the London Broncos were an American football team, then I think we would struggle with the London Blitz. If we want things people like then I say go for the London Boobies. It would get publicity and we can always say we need the birds.

Come on if you can't get more people to watch the boobies then the boobs we had on the pitch last year, then I really don't get don't know what I'm doing.

OK, how about something that strikes a chord with most posters.....`London Naysayers`.........(definition of naysayer - someone with an aggressively negative attitude, obstructer, obstructionist, obstructor, resister, thwarter - someone who systematically obstructs some action that others want to take)......yup, seems a good fit with most RL fans

When we were the Broncos, I don't recall anybody ever chanting that. We talked about them as The Broncos, but the chants were for London. Apart from the Skolars muddying the waters with their silly name, we could be simply London Rugby League. Hull managed to get rid of the "Sharks" and now, despite the presence of HKR, are just Hull F.C. Maybe we could be really cheeky and call ourselves London F.C.? Harlequins has not proved to be a successful change for us, it may work for RU but not Rugby League, we must have London in our name and I am moving more towards no mention of Harlequins or Quins!
