| No. We beat a very poor Dragons side and we still lack in attack.

| Should be a close game, Long is very doubtful and without him we look like we did last year.

| I don't think this game will be pretty, unless Hull fire. They will have got a rocket and we may feel the backlash. Ward, Randall and Temata should be fresh and we will have to out enthuse and out kick them as Crusaders did. I expect a lot of effort from our boys and as we are on TV we may pull something out of the hat. I guess the suicide rate went up on humberside last weekend!

Kicking is a skill you can learn, compare the Storm kicking to ours on Sunday. Light years ahead and perfect for the conditions. When the pitch is heavy if you kick short it will stop, we over kicked. Also their high kicks had spin on them and were difficult to handle. We should get the union boys in and learn how to kick. We will gain yards and score more tries. How difficult can it be - it just requires application and practice, I remember at Charlton one of their soccer players being amazed that our lot could not kick a rugby ball very far!

| Following on from the kicking
What I noticed yesterday was that thier full back kicked the ball differently to what I had seen before - He seemed to angle it right back so it was nearly flat and kicked the far point of the ball creating a back spin(I know players put back spin on the ball). It seemed to work a treat. Im thinking it maybe an Aussie rules skill, as they seem to kick it with back spin when kicking to each other rather than for distance.
On the contrary Melling kicked the ball dead on several occasions due to a lack of control on the ball.

tbh our kicking and enthusiasm weren't the problem, we just looked lost when we got close to their line. If Long is out we might struggle again, but I expect to see a different combination at half back on Friday. Who knows what will happen.

Agreed. You looked great in the second half on Sunday until you got to 5 metres from the Crusaders goal line when all you could think of was one man drives at the line - meat and drink to a Noble coached side.

It's something a couple of ex Aussie Rules kickers have introduced to punting in the NFL, and is often commented on there.

| Long is expected to be out, so you stand a good chance...we always play poorly against London/Quins.
I predict a slow, arm wrestle of a game to be honest

| You could win again (you frequently do against us - even going back to the Fulham days!)
So come on, bring more than a bus load to the KC and shut the knockers up and prove to them that you can support your team away from home and travel in numbers.
Look forward to seeing you there.

| Will be surprised if many make the journey and you cannot blame them to be fair. A friday night game and a long old trip up from London. The club have done the right thing in giving away tickets to the young RL players in the city to boost the gate though.

| Berrigan, T. Briscoe, Calderwood, Cusack, Dowes, Fitzgibbon, Hall, Horne, Houghton, Lauaki, Manu, Moa, O'Meley, Radford, Tickle, Turner, Washbrook, Whiting, Yeaman.
Harlequins RL squad
Bolger, Bryan, Clubb, Esders, Golden, Howell, Jones-Bishop, McCarthy-Scarsbrook, Melling, O'Callaghan, Orr, Randall, Sharp, Smith, Temata, Ward, Wilkes, Williams, Williamson.
Dont know who HB's are going to be unless Mac's going to go with Orr/Smith...So be Melling on the bench as backup hooker.
Is James injuried as well then.. And will we see Ben Jones in the 19 at any time or is he here there just to make up numbers and spend his time at Skolars.
So no Long or Tansey for Hull and Calderwood back from injury for them, which i can only see alot of kicks down the line to try turn O'Callaghan to use Calderwoods pace on him.
And thier forward line is huge. no way we going to win that battle.

| Did anyone see Boots n All last night.. Paul Cullen was doing his bit on the games and pointing out all the plays and so on. well on the Hull game he was pointing out the Hull forward Lauaki and what he was getting upto in the game against Crusaders, what amazed me wasnt what he got up to but Ian Smith the ref according to Cullen he spoke to Lauaki on more then one occasion about what he was doing and put him on report for one head high shot, yet with us Louie trys one Glassgow Kiss and misses and gets send off, yet when you saw this guy last night he was up to all sorts.
Cullen all so pointed out some good tactics to play against Hull but i dont think we see us use them as Mac will play it his way. Straight down the middle and run out of ideas for the fifth tackle, yet Cullen pointed out this is not the way to go against Hull.

fri night game, highly unlikely you will see more than a couple of dozen up there from london sadly, M1 on a friday night!!!! could set off at midday pm and still not get there in time coz of the way the traffic is, soooo its just one of those things that adds to a very small travelling fan base with our lot
