Already said it....800 odd hits isn't going to fill the North Stand. Nice idea, but TBH, 1 in 100 viral campaigns make an impact......and knowing Quins RL, this will be made, put on youtube and ....er.....that's it.

| It's not a cheesy poster in a train station so it isnt a good idea in GF's world. We've now got several sponsors incl Win, Lendsbury and Green King. Season ticket sales are up. Advertising campaigns-Things are looking up. Well done PB

And if we sponsored the station yesterday then more people would have seen it today than have seen that video in a week.

| Think the idea of being in the local schools and colleges on a rolling type of rota seems to be a good idea. Hopefully during the season this idea is rolled out to big local employers as Wigan did last season.

I was hardly going to put a full marketing description of a how the Quins would be "sold" at the train station, so please take the term [icheesy poster [/iin the context it was meant!! I was also a cheep shot at GF!!
More is not always the right more-Work that through before you make another nothing comeback.

'season ticket sales are up'. I dont think a season goes by when any SL club doesnt say that. I cant see our crowds being any higher than last year unfortunately. Especially with the lack of stars or game breakers in our squad. Its all very well having focussed marketing but you have to have a product to sell. As always our best hope is an over-performing team and a good cup run.

I Have no idea what a cheep shot is, or why you would aim one at me...but I stand by what I said earlier....the viral is clever, designed to be seen and let's hope it will be seen, but by how many people who would then come to a game??
The station idea isn't anything new....I didn't just make it up.....I think if you dig around you'll fine the names of 2 people now at QRL, who were at The Oval when another railway station was sponsored......
Hey......I will applaud anything that works for the good of the club. If the viral campaign works, then brilliant, but for it to work, every single Quins RL fan with access to a computer needs to forward it to everyone they know....otherwise, it's just another PR excercise that won't see much light of day.

My interpretation is perfectly reasonable. The “right” more are those people belonging the club's target market.

| Station domination (yes it has a term believe it or not) is used over here. This year the HSBC Waratahs will have every single poster site and pillar with posters on them, both at Town Hall and Wynyard stations. The cost of the media buying and production is 6 figures.
The salesman has a marketing idea again. Some like it, some don't, but if the club don't do it, they're obviously useless.
I should point out that the HSBC Waratahs cannot afford such a marketing luxury and this campaign is paid for by HSBC, their sponsors.

Not my idea....obviously as the Rah rahs down your neck of the woods do it, as do the Surrey CCC.......and various other firms. Barnes Station IIRC is sponsored by a firm of solicitors......which would point to a less that 6 figure sum being involved.
The club can do what they want....they are neither useless of brilliant. All I did was suggest a particular route to market that would be seen by the local audience.

The solicitors at Barnes have an advert under the station signs.....no posters. Vauxhall station is the same......with THE HOME OF THE BRIT OVAL underneath the station sign.........not sure what you're getting at, but I believe the option to do this at Twickenham would be viable..........
I approve of anything the club try to do to attract fans...let's face it....they haven't done much in the past. The problem with the viral is that it needs to be pushed.......and at 900 odd views so far it would seem to be in need of a nudge.
